One of my favorite FD's of the season. Oona and Gage using all skating skills to build the drama of the program.

well... fun stuff. I just felt that the speed and ice coverage weren't as strong as the last three teams.

I like to see them doing a character piece - it is a step up for them.
I hold my breath until they get through that lunge move.

Oona BROWN / Gage BROWN (USA) take us back to the previous group with the all black costumes.

Well, nearly all black. Oona is wearing a gorgeous black dress. Gage is wearing a white shirt, with a black tie and black suit.

Chris said they were doing a "Godfather" programme. But, it wasn't the usual music that gets used. "Speak Softly, Love" didn't appear until the very end. And it wasn't for long.

I should add, I haven't seen the films. Not my thing.

Oona threw her brother over her like a sack of spuds!

Chris enjoyed it. And so did I.

They go into the lead of both the FD and overall.

Had to laugh at the performing seals clapping either side of them while they hugged!

It's crazy how the US B team is good enough to compete at the Olympics in fact the top 7 at Nationals not even including the Shibs would have respectable finishes in the standings.

I am getting Ashley Wagner intensity vibes from Caroline - maybe the hairdo as well. The really took the program up a notch in the last section. They board stayed green so really good for them. They needed to have a clean skate for themselves. Lots of cool things to study and digest in this one. I foresee a choreography career when they finish with their careers.

I honestly don't have a clue what the concept of the programme is supposed to be. I just don't get it at all.

But, whatever it was, they skated it very well!

They go into 2nd position in the FD, and the lead overall.

Emilia & Vadym have the best skating skills and this take on R & J is different and unique. The frantic quality to their skating is a good match to this music and in the short as well. I hope that they will develop an emotional depth. While I marvel at the technical ability and like them as people, I do not connect with their skating emotionally yet.

Sheesh. Emi and Vadym are amazing. Love the way Jean Luc said Vadym loves to throw his head back so much that he's going to get whiplash. LOL. Love their athleticism.

Stop zooming in so close on Emilea's face! It's not fair when you can see she is nervous!

Thankfully, it didn't come out in the programme. That was beautiful.

They may be good at the high energy programmes, but I much prefer this type of programme for them.

As soon as they finished, Chris said they were breathtaking. And I totally agree.

Awwwww. He can't stop gushing about them.

I'm really not used to commentators being so positive about any of my kids. But I can get used to it!

Emilea's nerves are really coming through again when they were waiting for their scores.

No need to worry. They win both the FD and overall.
