Before Julia, I want to add there is no russian judge in this event. Not even from former Soviet countries so there is a chance we will see real Julia scores, especially in PCS. Please think this before blame judges.

I'm enjoying his Ladies Short tweets! Although calling Johnny and Tara the next 'Dick & Peggy' makes me wish he was there with Terry in the booth. Skating on ABC - good times.

Well it's been a decent ladies sp so far. I think I would say it's been a great one of at least Kanako or Akiko had delivered, but alas...

I'm not sure I agree with Kaetlyn ahead of Kanako but that's the IJS for ya.

I thought that was a GREAT skate for Gracie. She was clearly nervous, but she's going to come back in the long with a little more fire I'm sure. Plus, now she knows she can be that nervous, have some wonky jumps, and still go clean. Good for her.

Unfortunately I don't think Send in the Clowns was a good a vehicle for Yuna as Bond. Or maybe the Choreography just wasn't there? She certainly has the maturity and quality to be really lovely in that program but I think I agree with the score. I might have gone slightly higher, but for me it didn't have the impact of Bond in 2010.

I will say I think her jumps looked cleaner and higher here than they did in Vancouver. I feel like the rotation was surer on her jumps when her toe pick hits the ice.

Polina will be in the top 10 at the end of the night so this is a nice debut for her. She looked nervous to me here, but it's certainly a start. We'll have to see what she can do in the free.

I have a feeling there are a lot of ladies who are now looking for a redemptive skate in the free.

A redemption skate won't get them onto the podium if they're ten points back, without a disaster from others. The point of the SP is to set yourself up well going into the free skate. Kanako and Akiko didn't do that. Kanako is like five points behind Edmunds so she will have trouble beating even Edmunds if she goes clean in the Free Skate.

American Dick Button tweeting awful things about the ladies just so he can sell a few more books. Presumably American poster wishing Akiko would fall for Gracie's benefit, and then acting self-righteous about it. American posters being blind to Polina and Gracie's inflated scores all while complaining about the dirty Russians overscoring Julia and Adelina.

Team 'Murica rocks so hard! You win all the awards. Bravo!

Please rock your SPs, Carolina and Mao. Skate well so the judges can't deny you even if they want to.
