A very interesting and detailed piece on "The Wire": http://www.thewire.com/culture/2014/02/why-people-think-adelina-sotnikovas-figure-skating-gold-medal-was-rigged/358344/#disqus_thread
Makes the case for why the judging (and not just for Yuna) is suspect.
...
Adelina Sotnikova skated the program of her life on Thursday, landing monstrously huge triple jumps and capturing the Olympic gold medal. If only she deserved it.
Experts and skating fans were baffled to see the results, particularly after South Korea’s Kim Yu-na sailed through two difficult, effervescent programs. Queen Yu-na, as she is called, should have locked up figure skating’s top prize. But she inexplicably ended up five points behind.....
The article is poorly written and researched.

How so? Can you be specific?
No. This Olympics will be remembered for beautiful performances by Sotnikova, Kim Yuna, Kostner and Lipnitskaya (Team event). That´s all.

It still blows out my mind lolIf this noname Russian coach... oops judge does exist, he disturbs professional ethics. ISU judges cannot judge another judges' judging.B]Brennan: Official says judges slanted toward Adelina Sotnikova
[/B]
A high-ranking Olympic figure skating official, who spoke to USA TODAY sports on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the topic, said the geographic makeup of the judging panel "was clearly slanted towards (Olympic gold medalist) Adelina Sotnikova," adding "this is what they can do."
As for reigning Olympic champion Yuna Kim, the judge said: "Kim was so much better than Adelina in all aspects. Both Kostner and Kim were better than Adelina."

Americans do not mind that gold has earned 136 + points with a terrible fall? moral freaks

Exactly where would you decrease Gold's marks? She got properly dinged on the fall AND got an edge call for it. What else was wrong with the program that you would decrease the score for? Her PCS is in line with the overinflation of everyone's PCS at the Olympics.
Here's the protocols: http://www.isuresults.com/results/owg2014/owg14_Ladies_FS_Scores.pdf
Gold did come in 4th in the LP at World's last year so it's not like she came out of nowhere.
One thing no one has mentiond about last night was the audience reaction to Wagner´s score. She skated with fire and passion. Everything to the music. The stuff the Russionas like. When her score came up there was actually whistling in the hall. Maybe Ashley will feel inspired to go home and rework her technique. Her GOE´s were pretty weak throughout. If Caro can come back why not Ash? It ain´t over ´til it´s.......
