here is an example.

Michelle didn't fall in Nagao. She was perfect but still lost to Tara who had 2 triple-triples. Also Sotnikova's stepped out on 2 toe only cost her a few points but the article is making it like she should have lost because of it.

If this noname Russian coach... oops judge does exist, he disturbs professional ethics. ISU judges cannot judge another judges' judging.

Exactly where would you decrease Gold's marks? She got properly dinged on the fall AND got an edge call for it. What else was wrong with the program that you would decrease the score for? Her PCS is in line with the overinflation of everyone's PCS at the Olympics.

Gold did come in 4th in the LP at World's last year so it's not like she came out of nowhere.
I thoroughly dislike the tone in Christine Brennan's article. Slovakia, Estonia and the Ukraine are seriously not palling around with the Russians these days so it's not like they have an incentive to help the country that kept them under a tight grip for 45 + years.
I also don't see how bringing France into the equation THIS YEAR makes sense. France would have every reason to hate Russia for taking the bronze in Ice Dancing from them. And "Germany, Canada, Italy and Japan" as the other judges: they were obviously in line with the other judges on the panel. It wasn't like 5 people gave Sotnikova 10s and 4 gave her 8s.
What an obnoxious article.

It is strange that the women´s olympic event usually turns out weird. The favorite only occasionally wins. I think Tara and Oksana weren´t correct decisions but at least they had been world champions. In every intereview of Sarah Hughes she admits to never having skated like that night. Arakawa was beautiful in Torino but try and find another skate of hers on YT at that level.
One thing no one has mentiond about last night was the audience reaction to Wagner´s score. She skated with fire and passion. Everything to the music. The stuff the Russionas like. When her score came up there was actually whistling in the hall. Maybe Ashley will feel inspired to go home and rework her technique. Her GOE´s were pretty weak throughout. If Caro can come back why not Ash? It ain´t over ´til it´s.......

She got a higher than TEAM fs score with a fall this time and with this very fall her pcs rised 7 points from Team event whre she was clean. I have the same issue with Lipnitskaya who got around same score.

Ashley needs to come to grips with the fact that multiple two-foot landings are going to result in a bad score. She is starting to be like the almost-girl again who missed out because she couldn't land her jumps clean.
