Well, Half loop is an underrotated Single Loop. I suppose....

DID you all notice that pretty much everyone got big deductions on the tech mark like Ashley 5 points Mao 7 points but the Russians hardly any deductions even though Julia flutz all over the place and Ana none even though some of her jumps look quirky.

But the technical controller is Australian, and the technical specialist is American. Julia actually got a << and 2 e's.

Mao got dinged on the 3A! and the flip in the 3-3! as well both 2 loops!

But she LANDED a clean -3LOOP in combination!!!! :yay:

Kostner winning a medal here is ridiculous. Result of the competition should be:

Man, what is with the hate on Gracie? You're seriously putting her under Wagner? Her opening combination was fabulous, and her short was clean. I'm really excited to see how she develops next season.

First time she's beaten Gracie in any phase of competition this year and still Gracie beats her for a 3rd straight time even with a bad skate. And if Wagner can't ever get a reliable 3-3 this is as good as it gets because these kids can do them. She skated clean and still didn't break 130.

It feels like that tech panel wanted Mao to loose. That 3A was beautiful. What were they smoking? So much for the home ice advantage everyone and their mother likes to bring up. Japan is not guilty of it, that's for sure. Quite the opposite it seemed to me they were harsher on their skaters.

Julia was called out, with edge calls and a <. Ana's jumps were around, my friend, which explains the lack of calls.

Gracie was OVERSCORED.

She had a shaky loop, a single axel, a downgraded fall on her 2A, a lip, and no 3rd combo.

Gracie won't be able to seriously pursue premed (her goal as stated in past interviews) if she stays in amateur skating. It's time to retire Gracie, 5th at worlds is the best you'll ever get so

I felt sorry for Akiko. Such a beautiful program. Watching her score go down so much was just awful.
Carolina should have been 5th.
I have to say the judging today was really bad.

but I can't help wondering if judges were over-reacting to those "judging conspiracy" and "home inflation".
