Maybe the problem is with the choreography. I liked R&J 2 very much, but I must admit the kid didn’t really live the program. He lived the performances. At the GPF, at Sochi and most of all at the worlds, all the emotions came from his fighting attitude, not from the program’s idea itself. I could feel that he has his own battle, not with Patrick or Machida, but with his limits. It looked great, but he wasn’t Romeo (or Juliet). (Sorry for my English, the idea sounded very clear in my mind, but I don’t like how I put it into words).
