I think it's 100% that she's gonna skate at Rostelecom Cup (and I'll be there watching her). I have nothing against Japan or France as the second event
I just don't want her to go to any NA events.

The only skater I've seen her compared to is Sasha and Im sorry...I'm not seeing that. She is one of a kind. She has the ability to haunt your soul if you let her.
So they can't both go there? I don't know that much about GP qualification...

They can both be there but I'm just saying Adelina has always beats Yulia in Russia. Yulia can win on the road this season better than anyone. It wouldn't be stupid for the fed to send her to Japan and maybe even back to Canada. She will be ranked 2nd in the world with Mao being #1 and likely not competing. I think Yulia gets to pick her two events before anyone else if I understand the process correctly.

They can send Adelina somewhere and give her an exemption to skate in Moscow getting her two events. I don't know of its wise to have your best two ladies squaring off. Well know soon enough

But I still think she will go to Rostelecom Cup. She likes to skate at home in front of the russian fans (and there will be fans, not random olympic crowd). And I think she can beat Adelina at Russia next season. In fact, I think she established herself during last season more than Adelina despite her OGM.
But I have to agree that judges will be on Sotnikova's side. Russian nationals will be cruel bloodbath next season.

They announced it last year in early June. On a personal level I want to see Yulia so Skate America would please me in that regard. Maybe we can both see her. Are you going to any Ice Shows?
i plan to make the trip (only 2 & 1/2 hours) to skate america to see ladies lp event. would be amazing to see yulias new lp in person. not getting my hopes up though. would simply be nice to see gracie's disney smiles lol. i've never seen fs in person so will be big either way

But I love C/L's short dance this last season so much. And I think their victory at the Worlds was well deserved. Their FD was not that great though

I can't tell what happened but it made me laugh. Did he say Poker face Lipnitskaya? Love the slow motion on Yulia though. Awesome!!

My Japanese is heinously bad, but...they speak mostly in English anyway...
I THINK they just start off by saying that in between Kostner and next to Asada, came Yulia (like medal-wise?)....then the medalists converse. Kostner says she is going to do Stars on Ice Japan. I think Asada starts listing off the cities of her Stars on Ice schedule...and Kostner says she is going to Osaka or something and Asada's like oh same....then Asada asks Yulia if she's going to Stars on Ice too (narrator's like, "ooo she's talking to Asada...")...and she says no. And then Asada asks something like "are you not going to do ice shows?" And Yulia says she is going to Moscow and Japan....and then narrator says something about how Julia, with dreams in her poker face...something something (does the sentence get cut off by the video???)
