Thanks newbiespectator and echotpe for the report and pictures of the victory parade held for Yuzuru by his hometown. He looked very happy, and I was amused to see his honor guard of schoolgirls dressed in their school kit.

Together on Ice (Love the name btw) looks like a Sendai/Yuzuru special and I LOVE the artistes listed! All of them are J-rock/pop so maybe Yuzuru handpicked them? And Javier's going to be there too!

By the way, three skaters of Toronto Cricket Club will attend the ice show in July at Phantasy on Ice 2014 in Toyama. It might be the first ice show of Nam Nguyen in Japan?

The first ice show for Nam in Japan was 2013 Fantasy on Ice, and that was because Orser (who choreographed for the show along with David Wilson) insisted that he was invited. I guess this means that they are going to choreograph for Fantasy on Ice again this year?

OMG this is so funny! I can't stop laughing!! Apparently they made some survey in Japan, about people's favourite celebrities. You can see the result in the chart below. His name is marked with blue underline.

Yuzuru does not belong to the top 10 most favourite men of women in their 20s. It's understandable. He is too boyish. He has sex appeal of a slide of bread. Lol!!!

But with girls in their 10s, he is in the 5th place of being favoured. So he said little girls like him a lot, it's so true.
Women in their 30s place him in the 9th place.
Women in their 40s place him in the 7th place.
Women in their 50s place him in the 1st place. So apparently Yuzuru is their favourite son.
MEN in their 60s place him in the 7th place of being favoured. Some granddads want to have a child like him, I guess.

@Yuzusan: Just finished downloading Yuzuru's Sochi LP with French commentary video (took an hour more or less) and just read your translation at the Yuzuru Media Links thread. Wow, Annick certainly didn't mince words ("worst performance"), and Nelson thought he would get a silver medal at best. Understandable really as they knew Yuzuru is capable of much much more. Would you know what they said when it turned out he won the gold medal? Thanks again for all your hard work.

Concerning the parade, he is like the king of king, really really a veteran coming back from the war, saving life and fighting for peace ^^ It is just extraordinary....

Oh I felt that too, the return of the king so to speak. He just has that luminous quality to him.

【news】Yuzu is invited as Tourism Ambassador by Sandai officially.

After Parade (4/26), Yuzu's next stop is to take photos at studio. He is invited as Tourism Ambassador by Sandai government today.

It is supposed to be the direct contribution that he always hopes to the hometown. Another busy day to him, yet glad to see his face with lights up. :agree:

Yes, and he is in the 10th in men column in general. I suppose some granddads like him as much as some grandmas.
For a kiddo with almost zero sex appeal, 2th place of being favoured by women in general is awesome. =))) Still couldn't get over the fact women in their 50s like him the most.

I guess 10s column also represent teenagers from 7-14 years old. It's understandable they like him because he looks like a character from manga. I guess from 15 to 30, they think some folks like Benedict Cumberbatch or Tom Hiddleston are hotter.
