Is it just me or Victoria seems to be heavier than Lena? She is taller, even though she is not fat I think Lena is slender. I guess Nikita will have harder time lifting Victoria.

Elena Ilinykh is much heavier than Victoria now who is thinner...
...and they said Ilinykh is lazy in practices that is why she gained weight.
Both girls are thin and good looking, but partners who lift them, coaches, Federation will never have enought. This is world of figure skating – thin girls are never thin enought. Thanks Tessa, Faiella and some others that they kicked their coaches, Federation butts proving that great dancers can be simply great without having 45 kilogrammes…and their partners were able to lift them – in case of Tessa & Scott – lifts were perfect and very difficult.
To Sky_fly20: Lena gained some kilogrammes this season, because she is 19 years old girl and this is a part of maturing of her body. This is not a prove of lazy work ethic. If she will train properly, she will form her body and muscles and it will be optically looking like she is more thin than she was looking this season.
To Meoima: Both girls have different body building, but I would personally say that Lena is more thin looking at her body structure – seizure of bones, width of her shoulders…while Victoria is more thin in body shape (better trained).
We don’t know their weights, but I think they are equal right now after Lena lost same weight.
As to body building – Victoria is one of those with long beautiful legs, but also with more wide shoulders and back – mainly last two things are giving an optical idea of being more heavily build than Lena. Her legs are more thin (but longer also), her backside is smaller in comparison with Lena. The same body building like Victoria has Krylova, Domnina, Navka, Bobrova, Monko. For all those girls/woman – their body is proportional.
Lena has another body building. Her shoulders are thin, her back is thin – simply whole upper body is thin. But her lower body is normal or less thin starting with backside and thighs plus she has no long legs, so optically not thin thighs + not long legs support the idea of not having thin enought legs. Jump over all magazines pictures which are far from reality, her body structure is well seen in Vogue behind the scenes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNN9vW2_2uQ , but remember that skates add about 10 centimetres and help to make body taller and more slim, in swimming suit her legs would be shorter and optically less thin. This body type has also Albena Denkova, Elina Kettunen, Suzanne Poykio. This body building is not proportional.
So both Lena and Victoria being at one picture, Lena would look more thin looking at upper body and shoulders, but having both girls in swimsuit – Victoria would probably be thinner overall.
Nice example is picture of Navka and Berezhnaya together - I was very surprised to see those thin women together, Navka thanks to her heights, wide shoulders looked twice in size than Berezhanya, who has very thin body structure….but both women are thin in reality, they just have different body building.
As to lifts – Nikita will have equal or more easy work with Victoria in lifts. Victoria was helping Ruslan in lifts to get up and change position, while Lena was mainly waiting what will Nikita do with her. If Victoria helps in lifts like she did with Ruslan, Nikita would need less power than with Lena to get Victoria into a certain position. The only problem for Viki & Nikita in lifts may be a fact that Victoria has long legs and arms and is some centimetres taller than Lena – so Nikita will have to find balance with different body in his arms.
Lena has no lift habbits. Ruslan was able to lift Victoria, so he will be able to lift Lena as well. Lena’s attitude in lifts could be a problem, but it is on coaches to work with specialists to learn Lena how to behave in lifts. Ruslan’s advantage will be a fact that Lena is shorter having shorter legs and arms than Viki, so it will take shorter time to get her into a certain position.
