^ yup. Sound fail!! She looked ready to go into attack mode but the crowd rallied and she delivered with no music. I think if she gets mad she has a hidden strength that comes out. We saw it at Euros when her 2a wobbled and she blew her 3t after. What followed was an assault on technical and emotional skating landing her a PB and very prestigious Gold medal!! Sound guy is probably lucky she didn't skate right over there and give him a piece of her mind. This kid...just no words do justice. Thx for sharing that.

When you look at the speed and jumps it's so obvious how tired, if not exhausted this kid is.
She really needs a break.

While I may agree with you, I also may not. As a muscician, my truest of artforms, I regularly practice at slower speeds. It helps define the movements better as you have more time to focus on each note. That was one of the purest , in terms of movement I've ever seen her skate. Every jump landing was held out as if it were an accent and everything was smooth with perfect flow. Maybe a sign of her starting to focus a bit more on her edges and overall presentation. She may in fact be tired. I would be. But those were some of the best landings I've ever seen from her. Maybe Mr Yagudin is teaching her a thing or two.:)

Ha! I noticed that too, watched LP first and every element she made was slower, deeper, and more elegant, liked it very much. But the failed jump and overall performance in SP made poor impression on me. Maybe we're both right anyway. ;)

I wonder if the collaboration in the show with Ilya Averbuch and the other skaters will bring something better then Schindler's List which set the standard pretty high...

That's true. I'm a bit worried tbh because of that.

You are a musician?

There is much love fest on one side and criticism on the other below Julia's videos on youtube, but you know which comment is my favourite?

"I don’t watch figure skating.
But I watch her.”
