Yuzuru Hanyu: 2013-14 Season

really not an easy piece of music to skate to, but I like it a lot because it's sooo powerful and intense, I can already see Yuzu skating to it!

I think he urgently needs balley lessons!!:yay:

Haha I'm happy I've got something else to listen to now!!:)

I confess I'm addicted to Yuzu's Hana wa saku ,he becames the music, he becomes the lyrics , he becomes pure soul on the ice .

Yuzu's extraordinary level of maturity is perfectly reflected in the choreo and in the performance, the mission he's deeply involved and devoted to gives him his strong and unique identity.

I believe Hana wa saku EX is quite different from Hana ninare , its internal value is probably higher than any other ex/competition he did before, it goes beyond skating and it's the new top he has just reached.

Whoa, I hope there will be at least two things that I would like about this program: Yuzuru's skating and the costume.:slink:

I am hoping the same... But since there is still no repo about his new costume yet, I am afraid that his new costume is not very special...:slink:

Nah, Chopin is a good choice, and even though I am not a fan of Chopin, I have to say his etude sounds no where near cheesy. :) and a good program depends most on the choreography, not the music though. As long as JB give Yuzuru a suitable choreography, he can make it.

I am mostly shivered about the costume, though. :bang: please not anything Weir-ish!

Reports say in the opening Yuzu did 4T3A : )

wow

Ah, no problem. I found the tweets about Yuzuru's speech re:Nanami sensei choreographing CHANGE.
First time to collaborate with Monkey Majik, but this song CHANGE is so tiring!
I couldn't skate to this well enough when Nanami sensei created this when I was a junior, and now I'm able to perform to it in front of so many people… thank you very much.
Thank you for your reply and for trying to look for information, lady_bee. I know, this thread moves so fast and it's the off season!

Thanks mikaboo! I was so curios to know who did the "Change". You've proved I was right, it was Nanami Sensei's work.

Now people are talking about Chopin,
but I'd like to talk about flowers, "Hana wa saku" and "Hana ni nare", a little more.
To be honest, the flowers are not my favorites, since I am not the fan of J-pop with high-tone male voice, and I don't like both costume either.
If I have to choose one of them, I would pick up ”Hana ni Nare", choreographed by Kenji Miyamoto, who is one of my favorite choreographer.
I don't think Nanami-Sensei is not good, but She is too close to Yuzuru.

WOW, just WOW. 4T I suppose? As long as it's his best of quads- let him keep it this way in oder to have an advanced score after SP. That is always a good ground to win. :yay:

Reports on costume.

New program:
White with purple ombre, sheer sleeves, lots of bling all over!

Edit:
Another reports says purple ombre all over, except the high neck part which is white. It must have been hard to tell with all the lighting.
+Black pants.

First half: PW black shirt version.

It's not about being cheesy for me. I just find this piece of music very nervous, I'm not a fan of such music, that's it.:)
I've mentioned a few pages before that I'd love him to have a program choreographed by Lambiel simply because I love the way Stephane interprets it, he sort of makes the emphasis they way I'd do, I feel the music the same he does. He has a lot of programs that tell a story and not by two or three jestures thrown to the judges in the right place, but overall they are made in a very compoud and may I say it- intellectual way- that I admire. And lately Yuzu said himself that he'd like to express the music and the lyrics in his performances, so... I kinda hope it would remind me of Scriabin SP (where he was helped a lot by Russians Natalia Bestemianova and Igor Bobrin- but they weren't mentioned as choreorgaphers).
As per the costume... I have a free mind at the moment. First I see it- then I cry.

It's both scary & exciting that this kid will never step back on challenging himself. I first thought he did the 4T3Aseq since it would still give a high BV than a 4T3T not considering the GOE yet BUT wow, a quad on the 2nd half.

Am I the only one who thinks this SP had some similarities to Pathetique SP? I hope it would mean a pretty awesome costume like his Scriabin's.

Now I am scared he will also put one quad in 2nd half of long
Remember he said he'd like to be able to jump a quad being tired supposed in the second half of the program? Umm... may it happen only in SP for now? That's kinda quite a huge step ahead already. (I love this guy!)

Some people said it's Chopin Ballade no 1, not the etude: http://youtu.be/Ce8p0VcTbuA
Complete different type from PW. Interesting choice.

Still very very nervous about the costume. :slink:

High five for black pants! Purple? Wow... I need to see it really, but black pants give me hope already.
