Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Hey guys, news is that Hanyu has officially jumped a QUADRIPLE LOOP in the Ice Show DOI in japan. there is a video of it on Youtube!

By the way, in his recent interview Plushenko declared that Yuzuru can now do 3A-4T combo.

Yes, just lets divide it in two: it's one thing to jump it for fun and it's completely different to include it into competition.

I don't expect Yuzuru to come with extra complicated LP from the jumps point of view. He can't come with 3 or 4 quads next season: it's not feasible. If he masters new jumps gradually, making then as sure as a quad toe-loop in the first part of the program then he might include them into a competitive program. But he also has to pay attention to expressiveness, skating skills and stamina. I would love to see him going strong throughout the whole 4 minutes and 40 seconds LP rather than falling down in exhaustion after finishing it. I love how he is reckless and risky but I would love to have him around as a long term high class player. Dearest Yuzu and Co, please play it the smart way.

but but but... he shouldnt have done it in the first place and yes! even if yuzu did agree to his terms. if yuzu really wanted to open an account he would have done it by now without any considerations.

its better to leave the poor kids alone

I'd rather he wouldn't open one. He's being followed around too much and that is already a big pressure on him and his family/friends. Opening an account would help him reach out to fans but it would open more avenues where he could be attack. Although I doubt the kid cares. It's also a little troublesome to maintain, even if he would be the actual handler/moderator because he's not just an athlete but also a student and ambassador. The kid needs every spare time he gets. I won't mind though if he opens a private one to communicate with his friends or family.

BTW, I was wondering if Yuzu owns a shirt that is not black, white or gray. Not counting costumes and that yellow shirt from FaOI last year.:biggrin:

Aren't we thinking about it too much? I could perfectly see the two joking around, agreeing on some sort of dare in a light-hearted way... maybe we should remeber that they are both still teenager, so let's not take everything too seriously... and FWIW exactly as it's yuzu's right to decide to not have a social network site., it's also is right to decide to have one, or to accept a challenge by his training mate...
 
and what do we learn from this? these days you don't put anything yuzu out there without getting a massive reaction. it's kinda funny in a very sad way. with all that social media insanity that's going on, it was kinda foreseeable that a tweet like that would cause a lot of people to overreact... oh well, whatever :)

well, let's see, we got red and blue and more blue and more reddish and that's pretty much all I got :biggrin:
not counting too much time and boredom, I got that, too

Yep, they are just teenagers. But Nam confirmed that it was not a joke - he is serious. Well, sometimes, when we are young, we just do things and learn things. Like there is a trap out there, others told us already, but we just can't resist the allure and jump into it, then get hurt, survive, get out stronger. Good or bad, one is responsible for his/her own decision. I am probably thinking too much. :laugh:

But, if Yuzu already cares about people rt even for the sake of deciding whether or not to open an account, he is probably going to care about people's comments and opinion when he actually finally opens one.

I remember the blue, purple and maroon i think, but still his personal clothes is like 90% black, gray or white. I think I could count in my fingers the number of times he's not photographed or taped in those colors. Maybe all the colors are reserved for his costumes, i.e R&Jver2:laugh:

:thumbsup: I like his 'fearless' too, but unfortunately I don't think that Yuzuru will play safe .. Even if it's the smartest way. I mean, he's already exhausting himself for absolutely nothing at exhibitions, this is certainly not a a smart move :bang: I don't think he will be upgrading his program content seamlessly but someday that 4Lo will be there plus even more content and probably his consistency will suffer even more that it was with the 4S, we can see that he has a wonderful fighting spirit but unfortunately he doesn't have natural nerves of steel. I hope his team will hold him back a little, once you get to a certain status consistency is even more important. But in the end this is his decisions, I hope he will mantain the same layout than last season for his LP and hopefully he will master that 4S. Yuzuru, be smart, please, I don't want you getting knee surgeries before Pyeongchang :slink:

As expected of Pamina. ::clap: When it comes to pics, you never fail to deliver.

This just further illustrates the fact that Yuzu mostly owns dark shaded clothes, maybe fans should start giving him pastel colored clothes because he actually looked good in it.

I don't know remember if this interview from 2010 was already posted but I'm more interested because of the location in this pic which again appearedin his 2012 interview. My sister and I are having a discussion on where it was taken (home or hotel).
 
Not sure if this has been posted but Hanyu has a very ambitious SP this season :P
