In the first video Michelle is pretty mad looking at the scores so i wonder was that a big thing back then?
Cause wasn't there a huge uproar when Ashley looked mad after 2010 nationals...?

After re-watching some of these, my absolute favorite is Sarah Meier at Europeans. She just looked so startled! What a great way for a skater I always admired to say goodbye

Yes, I'm so glad for her, she deserved it after so many injuries. It's really a perfect moment and it never fails to bring tears in my eyes.

I don't think there was a big thing going on. Michelle fell on her triple toe and Sasha was clean so it was pretty cut and dry that Sasha should be in first.

Although not technically Kiss and Cry, Sarah Hughes and her coach and their reaction when they learned she had won the OGM in 2002.

Yes to Sarah's reaction. Nobody expected it, not even them, they were just happy to be there. She had the skate of the night and although not an obvious fan fave from that era (unlike Michelle and Ira, who had their devotees, me included in both camps), she was the best on competition day.

It still moves me now seeing it, with her aunt as her coach there it was indeed a family affair. And Stephane interviewing her after, he was definitely a fanboy of hers! Easily the most popular win of those championships.

I can't stomach watching Sarah when she was told she won. I'm happy for her and all that but still, I just can't watch her and Robin rolling on the floor. That was most certainly unexpected and I think it crushed Michelle. She waited 4 years for that gold and .... sigh ... anyway, it was a pretty epic reaction.

I also liked Evans reaction when he won and he was hugging Frank. I felt so happy for Frank finally getting his gold medal. ( I can't find it on You Tube)
