I have no doubt the reporters will get everything they ask for when she has something to say, in her own inimitable style. She has a healthy aversion to empty talk, call that what you will.

I kind of agree with you on this one. I don't expect anything like SL this or next year from Yulia. But she's maximalist in everything she does and I'm sure she's putting alot of pressure on herself, but here comes my trust in Eteri who I think can communicate with Yulia even without words. She will explain to her that for now it'll be fine just to perform a good clean program. I can wait for another 2-3 years for something so special as her SL. They need just to stay calm and to work, who gives a f..., what the journalists think, we Yulia's fans will enjoy everything she skates this season, let's face it, she's magical on the ice!

waterskiiiepic123, I hope your prediction is right for several reasons. My impression is that Yulia filters all advice, keeping only what is consistent with her vision of skating. Her coaches have to adjust. Eteri is a rare one, she is quite capable of this collaboration. Can we expect a monarch butterfly to fly like a moth? What would that do to the brain of the butterfly?

I would be astonished if Yulia cares one iota about the reporters, probably even less than you do. She seems devoted solely to her art and her fans. That's a ton of pressure.

Looking at Papa's first GIF from tumblr....Yulia's 3lz isn't such an obvious flutz some of the detractors so openly decried. Very typical. IMO it looked pretty clean. While the flutz may not have been very obvious their intentions are pretty clear.

Papa, can you post that 3lz GIF(I can't get it with my phone for some reason). At no point was she on an inside edge. I have a feeling it will be like this all season with people claiming her jumps to be on a wrong edge.

I'm telling ya straight up. She was on the outside edge the entire time with maybe a hint of flat at the last possible micro second but I see no inside edge at all.

Hey Papa..can you redo this at a slower speed? It runs really slow on my phone at first and then speeds up making it harder to tell. Sorry to ask for so much

BTW...her landing position is textbook and her arms and hands are very strong and displays strength and confidence. She may not have the biggest jumps but I don't think anybody carries better flow and lands more crisp than this girl.

I am sure she is improving bit by bit, she is young, just 16 years old, not 26 she will become greater. That lutz will be fix as well as other jumps. She might even get a 4T one day if she tries. :yes:
