I somehow interpreted it that wayI actually assumed they would skate for France as he tagged the French Skating fed (in the picture, not the caption), but maybe they haven't made the final decision yet? Anyways, I hope we get to see this partnership make it to competitions.

I somehow interpreted it that waybut you have a point. We will see.
This is false information.https://dzen.ru/a/ZoKQHXaPwXtlB4ux - insider from RIA News
https://t.me/danceveranda/41388 - TG Channel about ice dance, they only post reliable information
I didn't put in a country yet for Hristova/Ahmed, then.
BTW, does anyone know if Vayana Hristova is related to Ciara Hristova, who I recall competed for Bulgaria in juniors a few seasons ago? (IDK if she's still active)

Emma Aalto and Millie Colling are a new Junior Ice Dance team and are the first same-gender team for Finland.
They won't be able to compete internationally yet, but it's good to see another country changing the rules to allow for same-gender teams![]()
As a separate event in the competition, do you mean? Or as part of the general ice dance event? Just curious.I hope the Finnish Fed and Canadian fed host some competitions where same sex dance teams can compete "internationally", with other federations joining them. The more this grows, the better possibilities of the ISU taking notice.
As part of an ice dance event. Of course, it's not possible right now in ISU competitions as it's not sanctioned by the ISU, but to host non-ISU competitions. Pairs of course is more complicated with biological advantages which can be discussed further, but for ice dance by default it is pretty fair for same sex teams of any gender to compete togetherAs a separate event in the competition, do you mean? Or as part of the general ice dance event? Just curious.
Oh my… it looks like Lindsay Thorngren is retiring. I'm honestly a bit shocked as she is one of my favorite skaters!
They have to ask to be removed from the World Standings list. That's why it's being assumed this is retirement.Could that perhaps just mean she has an injury that will take a long time to heal? Or does the disappearance from WS always mean a skater asked their federation to be removed, presumably because they want to quit skating and focus on university etc?
So.. forgive my lack of knowledge in these matters. Out of curiosity, is she able to compete in any way at all say in Challengers? ( My guess is probably not..)They have to ask to be removed from the World Standings list. That's why it's being assumed this is retirement.
