2025 JGP Solidarity Cup Pairs Free Skate

Very novel opening position. Nice choreography getting into character.

Lovely Triple Twist to start with.

Ach, Alex fell on the first part of the sequence of jumps. Zarah carried on and did another jump.

Lovely lift.

Zarah fall on Throw Triple Loop. Awkward getting up.

Backwards Outside Death Spiral good.

Double Salchow lovely.

So was Reverse Lasso Lift

Ach, Alex slipped while giving Zarah a piggy back. So they both ended up falling, with him on top of her.

Got up quick, but a bit of confusion over where to re-join.

Then a weird lift in the choreographic sequence. After what just happened, I'm not sure I would have taken the chance of doing it.

Beautiful Throw Triple Salchow.

And no problems after that.

When they finished, they just looked around as if to say "What On Earth just happened?!"

Zarah gave a hand heart signal to somebody.

They leave the ice with their arms around each other. Today they both bury their heads in Chris' chest, and he comforts both of them.

When we return from the replays, Chris is doing a great job comforting both of them.

They go into 4th in the FS, and 3rd overall.

:ghug:

Ava is so teeeeny tiny, when Stephen and her skated in hold they look like big brother teaching his baby sister to skate 😅 😅
With that much height difference, their pair spin looked awkward but otherwise they did really well.

Love their lifts, they looked the most secure out of all the teams so far

Zarah looks like she wants to go off screen and cry. 😢

I thought that yesterday, but today I got the impression she was more accepting that it wasn't their day.

What @labgoat said after the Short yesterday comes to mind:

I hope they have another competition before Nationals. They won't want to go into it with this event on their minds.

I wonder why Irina looked sad even though they had a good skate... she wasn't even happy about the scores or taking the lead.
I hope she's okay :(

They are very promising, they just weren’t able to fully show it today. I’m really eager to see the future of the Czech teams, they are all so different, with unique strengths.

This program is just wonderful, so creative and unique. They probably won’t be completely happy with this performance, but there were some really great elements in there like the twist, the lifts and the 3STh. Things are looking up for these two, and I’m hoping as the injury fades, they are able to build on this towards the end of the season. They are just lovely.

Love this program from the Hungarian team, I like the music and their matching costumes are gorgeous 😍

Their 3Tw looks nice and huge too!
