Mustafa Efe BESLER (TUR) was skating to music from "Gladiator". But rather than a gladiator, he was portraying the Emperor or one of the dignataries. Well, that's what I took from his costume.

I enjoyed that.

He goes into 5th position.

When Kaan ŞANAL (TUR) came out wearing black trousers, a white T-shirt and black waistcoat, I was not expecting him to be rocking out! :rock:

But he did. And he was great!!!

He wins the Short Programme.

Another break of nearly half an hour now, and then it is into the Senior Free Skates.

Mmmm. We got a burst of "Sweet Dreams", and then it stopped. Then a couple of seconds od something else, then it stopped. Now Fatma Yade KARLIKLI (TUR) is standing there wondering what is going on.

Now she has gone over to the panel. And now she is doing a lap of the rink, and getting into position. Then back to the panel, and then back into position.

Right, here we go. Take 2.

You know, that was impressive from Fatma Yade KARLIKLI (TUR). The problems with the music didn't seem to affect her.

I enjoyed that.

Hang on. She was bent double after she finished. She took her bows, and then left the ice bent double. Is she hurt?

When she got to the results area, she was grinning through clenched teeth.

Yes, she is in pain. She was holding her right leg up, and then when she set it down, you could see it hurt her.

Karina ISSAKOVA (KAZ) is wearing a beautiful black dress.

Very dramatic classical music. Just wish her ISU Bio had been updated, to find out what it was. (It's still on the 2022-23 Season)

I loved everything about that programme.

When you see it in the results area, the dress is more intricate than from a distance.

They're keeping her waiting a very long time.

Finally!

She goes into the lead of both the FS and overall.

The jumps were not playing ball with Ceyda SAĞLAM (TUR) at the start of the programme. A fall on the first, and then dodgy landings on the next two. But after that it was all good.

She's wearing a black dress with silver trim. But I don't really like it. Too much cut out of it.

I do like the music, though.

Hang on, it's not a cut-out. It is a massive patch of silver.

I wonder who the girl standing beside her is. A team-mate? Sister? Both?

She geos into 3rd position in the FS, and 2nd overall.

Yağmur Derin KEVINÇ (TUR) was wearing a white dress. And I only realised there now that the fog that we had earlier has completely disappeared.

For most of the programme, she was skating to that mashup of "Some Day I'll Fly Away" and "The Show Must Go On" that we oftern here. But, there was something on before it where there was wailing that would send the dogs in the street crazy!

A very tall skater. And it was emphasised when she sat down.

Another skater having to wait a very long time for her scores.

She goes into 3rd in the FS, and the lead overall.

Saw my baby girl waiting at the boards when the last skater of Group 1 was leaving the ice.

Come the Warm-Up, Stefania was the first to take off her jacket. Which was a pity because she is wearing a white dress and it is blending in with the surroundings too well.

She came over and did a jump in front of the camera. It was good!

When she did another jump at the far end of the rink, another skater was going along the boards and I was worried she would get in the way. But, she didn't. The jump went well.

The next jump she did was right at the edge of teh camera shot. But, we just about saw that it went well.

After a while, we saw her circling around for another jump, but she did it out of shot.

But then the person behind the camera decided that there was too much happening in that corner of the rink, and turned the camera around to show it. Unfortunately, nothing happened. So, the camera was turned back to twhere it had been.

We didn't see any more elements from Stefania after that.

Now to wait to the end for her to skate.

Sorry, I got called away just after Ceren KARAŞ (TUR) finished.

The black dress is beautiful. I would get fed up with her music very quickly if I was having to listen to it in practice all day.

She had a fall early on, but otherwise was good.

Seeing her in the results area, she is another very tall skater.

The last of the Turkish girls, Salma AGAMOVA (TUR) was also wearing a beautiful dress. But this one was blue.

And she also had a fall early on, but otherwise was good.

Waiting for her results, she looks thoroughly fed up. No interaction with her coach at all. In fact, she is looking away from him. I kinda like the way that he is not pushing it, just letting her do her thing.

What she is wearing is not so much a dress, more like a black bra, belt and skirt set. Oh, and black gloves too!

That was really good.

She'll definitely take the lead. Apart from anything else, she had a big enough advantage from the SP over those that have already skated.

Right, going for gold in her last event as a 17 year old. It's my soon-to-be-officially-all-grown-up baby girl!!!

I was already starting to well up even before she was in position! :drama:

I love the concept of this programme.

First part of opening combination jump beautiful. Second part not great landing.

Didn't see the second part of the next combination due to the barriers. First part was good, though.

I liked the choreography that was next, but we missed a chunk after it due to the barriers.

Fall on next jump.

Not great landing on last jump before "Singing In The Rain" kicked in.

But the spin just after it was beautiful.

Step sequence beautiful. And so was the jump at the end of it.

And next jump too! And the next!

Combination spin beautiful.

Oh, forgot there was more to come after it!

Was that a fall on the sit spin, or part of the choreography.

Combination spin at end was very impressive!

Sergei needs a shave. Or is he deliberately growing a beard?

There were mistakes, but the advantage from the SP should be more than enough to ensure the win.

She looks worried.

No need to be. She wins the FS and the title!!!
