Ah, music problems for Taisiia SPESIVTSEVA (UKR). The music started, and she went over to the officials. Then they attempted to play it again, and it was the same music.

So, she started going around the ice in the fog, and then got a USB stick off her coach, and went back to the officials with it. And then went back to going around in the fog.

Aha! After a while, music started playing it again, and this time it was different. And so she was introduced again.

It was "Malagueña" with vocals. I think I would have preferred the other music!

The fog is getting really bad now. It's up to her neck!

I didn't even know what colour her dress was until she got to the results area. It was a deep red.

Ah, Alieva has come back to sit with her. That's lovely! They are having great craic!

She goes into 4th position.

I've always had a soft spot for Nargiz SUELEYMANOVA (AZE). And "Shallow" by Lady Gaga is a song that always gets to me.

So, needless to say, I absolutely loved this. Well, what I could see of it through the fog!

That said, I did feel cheated. Because there was other bits of music at the start before "Shallow" started, and when you got to the end of the programme, you were thinking "Is that it?! There's a lot more of the song left!"

Oh, I forgot to say, she was wearing a black dress which looked beautiful when she got to the results area.

She goes into 2nd position. Just 0.14 behind leader Sabina ALIEVA (AZE).

You can see what she thinks of the scores. She is not impressed!

Julija LOVRENČIČ (SVN) was skating to a Sade medley - "Pearls" followed by "Jezebel"

She was wearing what I think is a silvery-goldy dress with matching headpiece.

It is getting very difficult to see what is happening through the fog.

She goes into 3rd position.

Yağmur Derin KEVINÇ (TUR) was skating to a song that I should know the name of, but can never remember it!

She was wearing a black dress with sparklies around the top.

She geos into 11th position.

Fatma Yade KARLIKLI (TUR) was wearing a beautiful black dress with sparkly pattern.

I don't know the song, but I loved it! It made me think of what Evanesence would sound like if they were Turkish.

Unfortunately, she had a fall in the fog.

But, she seems happy enough while waiting for her scores. She and her coach are joking away!

She goes into 13th position.

My goodness! I couldn't even see Meri MARINAC (HRV) when she was introduced!

She was skating to "Forgiveness" by Panu Aaltio, and wearing a sky blue dress.

At one stage in the first half of her programme, something happened and the camera went out of focus while she was at the far end of the rink. And it took a long time for the person behind the camera to find her again. That just shows how bad the fog is.

She is very happy with her scores.

She goes into 9th position.

Time for the last resurfacing of this competition.

Let's hope the fog situation improves by the time we come back for the final group. Because we have reached the stage where I'm surprised the competition is continuing. How are the judges and officials able to see what is happening?!

We're back.

And it may be wishful thinking, but I think the fog situation is improving. It's still there, but doesn't seem as high or as thick as it was before the resurfacing.

Group 5 is starting to feel like Group 1. The first two skaters have withdrawn:

Nuriya SULEIMEN (KAZ) was skating to "Merry-Go-Round Of Life" by Joe Hisaishi.

I take back what I said about the fog. It was difficult to see Nuriya due to her blueish white dress.

She seems very happy in the results area.

She goes into 8th position.

Ophélie CLERC (CHE) was skating to "Meaningless" by Charlotte Cardin

Well, she was a bit easier to see due to her dress being mainly dark blue.

Unfortunately, she had a fall at the far end of the rink. And then nearly went into the boards after she got up! It is down there that the fog is the worst.

She goes into 9th position.

And we finish with another Swiss skater. Chiara SCHÖLL (CHE) was skating to "Bang Bang". No, not the Nancy Sinatra song. Or the Jessie J song. This is a song which Google says was by Asaf Avidan, but this version had a female singer.

That was something different. Having a blues programme.

She was wearing a beautiful black dress. And was really good.

To the extent that she wins the SP.

We complete our Senior Singles SP double-bill, by going straight onto the boys.

Two groups, each with 4 skaters. And no resurfacings until they are finished.

Going by the cheers, I think Başar OKTAR (TUR) is somewhere within the fog.

Yep, there is he is. And there he is falling on his first (?) element.

Although he didn't fall again, there were other mistakes.

Now that he is in the results area, I can see he is wearing a grey top with a black triangle next to his left oxter, and black trousers.

He goes into the lead. Obviously.

The sole foreign skater in the opening group, Tadeas VACLAVIK (CZE), was skating to the "March Of The Toreadores" from "Carmen". With vocals.

Not a bad skate!

He was wearing a jumpsuit which was mainly black, but with red on the shoulders.

He goes into the lead.

As the cheers indicate, we are back to the Turkish skaters. It's Alp Eren ÖZKAN (TUR), but with the fog we can't see if he has a Red Right Hand

Don't know the second song, but it was a lot rockier!

He is wearing a white shirt, black waistcoat, and black trousers.

And he was great!!!

The amount of cheers he was getting both douring the programme and afterwards! And deservedly so!

He goes into the lead.

And I would not be surprised if he was still leading by the end of the segment.

We end the opening group with the last Turkish skater of the competition. Burak DEMIRBOĞA (TUR), who is skating to "Another Love" by Tom Odell

He is wearing an all black jumpsuit, which makes him easier to see.

That was great too!

Awwww. A lot of kids have joined him in the results area. I wonder if these are youngsters that he coaches.

He goes into 2nd position.

Phew. For a moment there I thought there were only 2 skaters on the ice. But, all four are there.

I spotted Dylan wearing his Team Ireland jacket early on. And thought "ah good, he will be easy to spot in that". But he must have taken it off, because I didn't see it again.

I couldn't remember what his SP costume looks like, but I worked out which skater was him when I saw somebody have a hard fall next to the boards. He then went to his coach but went straight out again to have another go, and had another big fall in exactly the same place!

After seeing that, I'm getting anxious now.

It's all foreigners in this group. Starting with the sole Swiss skater, Aurelian CHERVET (CHE), who is kating to a jazz cover of Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive".

It was actually a good version, until the drummer started to get a bit over-enthusiastic.

The skating seemed good.

He is wearing a light purple top and darker purple trousers with gold braces.

He goes into 2nd position.
