Spanish National Championships, 11-14 December 2025

Lara SUNDBERG / Héctor GONZÁLEZ (MAD) were skating to "Sing Hallelujah!" by Dr. Alban and "I Like To Move It" by Reel 2 Real.

Lara is wearing a sparkly gold top which is tied together across a big gap at the back, and black skirt. Héctor is wearing a black sleeveless top and black trousers.

That was a fun way to start our Saturday Night Dance Night.

Their coach looks young. (I would have thought he was a team-mate were it not for the fact that he is dressed up!)

They are happy with their scores. Particularly Héctor.

Sara MARCILLY / Jolan ENGEL (MAD) skating to a Jennifer Lopez medley. "Let's Get Loud", then "Waiting For Tonight". Then back to "Let's Get Loud".

Sara wearing an orange dress. Jolan wearing all black.

They were good!

Sara Hutado and, I think, Antoine Charrier with them.

They go into 2nd position.

Andrea PSURNA / Elio VALOR (MAD) skating to "Barbie Girl" by Aqua (amazed we haven't had more of this!). And then our third serving of "Let's Get Loud" in the space of two programmes!

Andrea wearing a pink dress (imagine that!), and Elio wearing all black.

That was fun! Although I may be biased because I love both songs.

Is that Karolína Procházková with them? It's been that long since I saw her that I'm not sure.

They go into 3rd position.

Sofía PASCUAL MATEOS / Sergio PARRA (MAD) are skating to "Oye" by Gloria Estefan, and two versions of "Suavemente".

Sofía is wearing a gorgeous dark blue dress. Sergio is wearing a matching blue shirt, and black trousers.

I absolutely loved that!!!

The guy that was with the first partnership to skate is back with them. So I am guessing he is Jaime Garcia Morcuende.

They go into 3rd position.

Unfortunately, the skaters were too small on the camera that is used for the Warm-Up. So, I didn't even try to work out who was who.

Plus the Warm-Up actually started when the last of the Junior partnerships were waiting for their scores. So, we missed a chunk of it.

But, now it is time for my kids.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST SOFÍA AND ASAF!!! :cheer:

Lovely cartwheel that Sofía did over Asaf in the choreography at the start.

Lost sync in second set of Twizzles.

Sofía nearly spun into the boards at one point during "La Copa De La Vida".

Actually Asaf got a bit close to them too during "Living La Vida Loca".

Sara sitting with them.

Sofía is holding a banner somebody has given them.

They go into the lead. Obviously.

Oooh. Sofía kisses both Asaf and Sara. Where's mine?

:cheer: WELL DONE SOFÍA AND ASAF!!! :cheer:

Athena FAITH / Eric ALIS (CAT) are skating to a very slowed down "Believe" by Cher. Then "Be my Lover" by La Bouche.

Athena is wearing a sparkly silver dress. Eric is wearing black trousers, and a short sleeved shirt that is mainly black, but has a wide light blue trim.

Such a contrast between the two songs! Even if "Believe" hadn't been slowed down, it would still be a big contrast.

They go into 2nd position.

Olivia Sophie SMART / Tim Frederik DIECK (CAT) skating to a Robbie Williams medley. "Freedom" followed by "Let Me Entertain You".

Both wearing black costumes with silver patterns.

Tim, for goodness sake put away your hairy chest! We don't need to see it!

You know, for somebody who generally hasn't liked any of Olivia's programmes since she moved to Spain, I love this one. Even if I would prefer George Michael's original version of "Freedom" (I know, it wrong not meet the decade requirements).

Don't know who that is sitting with them. It's not Marie-France.

They go into the lead. By just over 7 points.

Philomène SABOURIN / Raúl BERMEJO (MAD) doing the "Macarena"!!! Except they weren't really.

Philomène wearing a pink bra and silver shorts. Raúl wearing a white sleeveless shirt, black tie, black waistcoat, and black trousers.

I love these two. And I love this programme.

Sara sitting with them. And they have a banner too!

They go into 3rd position.

All three of them are happy.

Resurfacing now, but this is where I leave you for the night. I am going to play catch-up on the Senior Ladies, Junior Men, and Senior Men in Lithuania.

All the best to those that I will miss.

The final day of the Spanish Championships starts with a all the Free Dance segments; followed by all the Pairs FS segments; and finishes with the Senior Singles FS segments.

But I'm staying with the Lithuanian Junior Ladies FS until the Senior Free Dance starts.

Livestream for the Junior Free Dance is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

All the other information you may need can be found in the OP of this thread.

Hope this helps

I'm back for the Senior Free Dance!

Oh, hang on, the last of the Junior partnerships is only starting.

Drat! The Juniors running behind is the last thing I need, when the Lithuanian Senior Ladies are coming on at twenty past the hour. I wanted to see my Spanish kids before it started!

Lara SUNDBERG / Héctor GONZÁLEZ (MAD) skating to "Maddest Kind of Love" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, "5-10-15 Hours" by Blue Harlem, and "Mr.Pinstripe Suit" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

Lara is wearing a black dress with white trim and white belt. Héctor is wearing a white shirt, black braces, and black trousers. (They missed a trick there - he should have worn a pinstripe suit!)

I don't know about the previous partnerships, but this partnership was good.

That was worrying. When the announcer started announcing the scores, the coach started celebrating, and then all of a sudden he stopped. And then after a few tense seconds, he started celebrating again.

They win both the Free Dance and the title.

Senior Dancers on the ice for their Warm-Up. But, there is no point trying to keep track of anybody, as they are too small to see properly.

CaroLiza_fan

Athena FAITH / Eric ALIS (CAT) were skating to a lot of music, including a couple of Lana Del Rey songs.

Athena is wearing a purple dres. Eric is wearing a purple shirt, grey waistcoat, and grey trousers.

Not a bad start to the competition.

They are being kept waiting for a long time to get their scores.

Hurry up! I want to at least see Sofía and Asaf before I have to leave for food!

They go into the lead.

CaroLiza_fan

Before my kids, it is their team-mates. Who I love as well.

Philomène SABOURIN / Raúl BERMEJO (MAD) skating to music from ""La Casa De Papel""

Philomène is wearing a black bra-top, and red skirt. Raúl is wearing a red boiler suir with black T-shirt and black belt . Both wearing black gloves too.

I love, Love, LOVE this programme!!! And I love, Love, LOVE them!!!

They will definitely be the new leaders of both the Free Dance and overall.

They are. And Sara makes a hasty exit as soon as the scores are announced.

Their team-mates were just sensational. Will my kids be too?

Third "Exogenesis Symphony" of the day for me, after two girls skated to it in Lithuania this morning.

Ach, way out of sync on the first set of Twizzles.

But, apart from that, everything was beautiful.

Ach, my stream froze and I missed a chunk of the final section of the programme.

Big hug before getting out of their finishing position.

They are happy.

Ah, Olivia applauding from the gate in the background. (Sorry, I didn't spot Tim).

They looked worried waiting for their scores.

They go into the lead of both the Free Dance, and overall.

Sofía and Asaf wave to the camera. Sara gets out her phone to show them something.

:cheer: WELL DONE SOFÍA AND ASAF!!! :cheer:

Right, I will see the last partnership

Olivia Sophie SMART / Tim Frederik DIECK (CAT) are dressed up to skate to "Incey Wincey Spider". Only joking, they are in appropraite costumes for skating to music from "Dune".

I still can't get into this. There is just something about programmes to music from the new "Dune" films that doesn't do it for me. No matter who is skating to it, or how good they are.

Well, we know they're going to win. It's just a question of by how much.

By 10 points in the Free Dance, and 17 points overall.
