I know that Fumie and Shizuka have already been guarenteed a place on the Worlds team, so only one place is up for grabs?

Are you sure it is Mao Asada and not Mai? Mai is older, right?

Mai is fifteen and Mao is thirteen. They're sisters. Mao placed ahead of Mai at last year's nationals, and Mao is now ahead of Mai this year after the short program. There is a thread in the "other nationals" section of this forum on the Japanese nats, with more information on these and other skaters.
