This pair has so much potential!
After winning silver at Junior Worlds last season, their senior career has begun with two GP medals. Although this wasn't enough to make them qualify for the grand prix final, they have performed enormously well at Russian Nationals last weekend. They won the free segment over Stolbova/Klimov, whom actually was not at their best, then finish second overall!
Their free program to Lionel Ritchie's Hello is just so beautiful and I nominate Tarasova for the most beautiful pair skater lady among the newcomers to the big stage. As far as I know, they are also a real life couple. Get ready people, they can be the next big thing in pairs skating!!
Their free program from Russian Nationals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFveXusPFVs
Evgenia Tarasova was born on 17 December 1994 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia.
Vladimir Morozov was born on 1 November 1992 in Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany.
They are the 2022 Olympic silver medalists in pairs, the 2018 Olympic silver medalists in the Team Event, three-time World medalists (2018 and 2019 silver and 2017 bronze), two-time European champions (2017 and 2018), the 2016–17 Grand Prix Final champions, and three-time Russian national champions (2018, 2019 and 2021). Earlier in their career, they became the 2014 World Junior silver medalists and the 2014 Russian junior national champions.
They were coached by Maxim Trankov and Nina Mozer. Post 2018/29 season they moved to the USA and are currently coached by Nina Mozer and Marina Zueva. As of the 2020-21 season, they are coached by Marina Zueva and Maxim Trankov.
