Good to see that Swedish Selma nailed her 3toe-3toe with positive GOE in her free. Lost a lot of points trying it in the short. I know the big nations have hordes of young greater talents, but I think it’s promising to see the Swedish girls doing so well here. And Selma is only 12 years old :clap:

Kurakova was impressive! As is her overall score o 174.62! Her jump technique could be better but I admire her keeping up with the speed for the whole program

Anyone know if she has qualified for Russian Junior Nationals?

Daniel Grassl won competition in Junior Men with 177.58 score

I really enjoyed watching Laurine skate at Trophee de France. I'm hoping Anastasia Galustyan does well today too.

Galustyan did very well, 59.71, personal best I think. And she showed that she was really happy about her score

Laurine and the other ladies going to Europeans(Meite, Kuchvalska) have had some problems, not skating their best.

Best 10 ladies after short program. Looked like Anne Line, coming back from injury, was pleased with her points :thumbsup: Also seem to remember that Hanna Kiviniemi was happy

The stream stopped so often that it was hard for me to focus on the competition.

The Russians who won were definitely the best but why did they skate to to mix of "Let it be" and "Fix you"? It was terrible, this two pieces don't suit each other. When Belarussians came on the ice, I was like: "Mini Natalia & Maks?" and yes, they skated to Dirty Dancing, but used different pieces, which makes me confused hy they used the costumes if there was no "Time of your life". The costumes didn't match the music, pink dres and "She's like the wind" is big no for me.

Yes, she qualified to JrNats. Two 2nd places of Russian Cup Events.

Kurakova is well-known in Russia. Born 24 Jun 2002. Nice skating, but past season she was unstable and URing. This season she improved.

I believe she is underscored. It means nothing when score is 40 points higher than 2nd place, but she deserves total score about 10 points higher for such a skating, I believe.

Really nice winners Elizaveta KHUDAIBERDIEVA / Nikita NAZAROV. I did not see them before. One more promising dance couple.

Liza Khudaiberdieva skated as single in novices, not top skater, but known.

Oh, good she qualified, will be interesting to see her against other very good Russian Ladies, she had no competition at all here

Watched Junior Pairs right now, and well, not impressive, but good Japan has a junior team. Maybe in next 10 year they will have a proper Senior Pairs team without importing male partner, so they will be eligible for Olympics. They eve scored higher here than at Japanese Nationals

But they didn't even got Basic level on Death Spiral, they definitely need to work on that. Other than working on having some triples, of course.

Stream is freezeing often enough, but Butkute/Ermolaev were clearly the bets in first group for me. Shame about fall from amle partner of Swiss team. It has quite impacted their score I think.

Ok, Senior Pairs SP has just finished. I didn't know Dorota & Mariusz Siudek are coaching Korean team. They had good score and they were so happy! Well, I'm not suprsied, they had just reached TES minimum in SP for Worlds, which they had not before! :clap:

German team, Hase/Seegert on the other hand weren't happy with their score...

I guess the cat might have not liked the travel.... My mom is totally dissinterested in FS, but when I told her, there is a cat, she came to see and she loved it :biggrin:
