Bit of a mixed performance - some big jumps but then a fall and some jumps with no flow. Love the music though (Kill Bill).

Wow, complete rippon fest. Not really a fan of the program though.

Solid skate, could do with more emoting though.

Gubanova is powerful. My only issue is that power of her jumps do not corresponds with music well, otherwise the skating is very solid.

Anastasia Gubanova

Really not a fan of either of Gubanova's dresses this year...

It's not necessarily a bad skate, but knowing what Gubanova was capable of, this can't help but feel like regression. The program itself is not good, and Gubanova was overly emoting - her arm movements, so praised two seasons ago, were really erratic and over-the-top. And I haven't even started getting into her jumps - how unsightly the entries are, how little flow there is coming out of them. Sigh. Well, at least she didn't make any actual mistakes.

I'm sorry, but watching her programs this year, even though she was clean in the free, I'm still not convinced she deserves JGPs. She just seems to be regressing so much, and CSKA can't help outside of Russia.

She gives me the impression of someone who does not know what to do with their very long limbs - perhaps she has had a growth spurt recently? In any case, a bit of a messy skate, and also could do with more performance.

Bit of a disappointment compared to yesterday unfortunately. Nerves? Still somebody with very good potential though. She has good movements, even if she isn't fully dedicated towards the performance yet.

She has the same programs and probably the same height as last season.. still for her that was a very good competition with probably the highest score for her I've seen..

Kamila seemed to be a bit unfocused and much less captivating than yesterday.. but it's still enough to be above the rest.. :clapper:

Shame about the fall, but I really liked her actually! Nice performance throughout the StSq. Jumps look solid too (despite the fall).

Six Rippons

Gubanova nearly didn't get to the podium.. who would say that before the start? In fact, I'd rather see there Frolova..

Very nice skate! I like her. Maybe I am a bit biased though because the program makes her seem like a fan of Wakaba 😅 The music cuts are so similar.

Six Rippons

Yeah - a lot of rippons in this competition in general actually, not very many tanos. Everyone seems to have a new technique with rippons whereby the top part is two palms pressed together instead of trying to achieve a continuous curve.
