If we add up the total points of the entire GP series including the Final, results can be different than using a third competition for making the winner.
Asada total points including GPF = 547.22
Kim total points including GPF = 571.55
Carolina Kostner = 491.49
Joannie Rochette = 535.98
Yukari Nakano = 501.33
Miki Ando = 497.55
I find it interesting that the winner did not accrue the most points during the GP and given 3 competitions won only 1 of them -for the Bronze, Joannie accrued more points and won 2 comps of the 3 but not the Final.
Jeremy Abbott = 688.64
Takashido Kozuka = 681.59
Johnny Weir = 675.12
Tomas Verner = 635.07
Patrick Chan = 658.70
Brian Joubert withdrew
Except for Verner winning over Chan in the results he was far behind in points.
By all means check my numbers. I don't trust myself.
I have scores for the other GP entries and intend to maintain this list by adding to it the points accrued at 4CC and Euros and, of course, the Worlds.
Do the total points accrued during a season match up with the results of the Worlds? We'll see.
