I'm going to be watching (if there's a stream).

It's quite weird that the pairs events seem to be running so far off the schedule of the other events?

Livestreams willing, so will I. And I agree - though I'm a bit relieved, actually. Sometimes so much skating all at once can get terribly tiring - I mean, physically tiring, not: this is too much, I'm bored nao. :)

Yeah, I have to admit I haven't been following the live streams as much as I did last year or the year before (except for this event). I've been watching the CBC tv broadcasts with fewer skaters.

I'm sticking around to watch pairs, since I couldn't keep awake to watch the other events live.

Doesn't strike me as that unusual to have one event left on the last day, but I'm wondering why it's pairs, of all things. Japan doesn't have a strong pair here, and it isn't exactly a top-class field either, so it's not like there's an anticipation factor.

I THINK Davis/Ladwig had a nice program. I fell asleep during it and woke up for the marks. I hate the time of this lol.

Okay, again I don't make it to the livestream until most of the way through Scimeca/Knierim. Crud.

But from what I did see, wow, hard to believe they've been together so short a time.

They certainly seemed happy with the score - it's nice when the skaters themselves are satisfied. :)

ETA Clarification: Davis/Ladwig, I meant.

To maintain their place above S/K, Martiusheva/Rogonov have to score a new personal best by nearly 7 points.

ETA: And S/K just essentially tied Castelli/Shnapir's personal best FS.

Got here in time for M/R. Looked like she doublefooted every throw, and why can't any pair team perform sbs spins in anything resembling synchronization. Sorry, I'm cranky because I haven't had my coffee yet.

None of the Russian pair's element was clean. No fall though. They shouldn't score higher than the Amercian pair.

Really was hoping that M/R could lay down a clean program. They are so beautiful! And while she didn't fall she put her second foot down on all the throw jumps. She also doesn't jump very high on her single jumps. She rotates very quickly but without just a little more lift she barely squeaks out landings.

It's such a pity because pairs that skate as beautifully as they do are rare.

Improved on their personal best by about 6 points, but still, behind S/K in the FS and overall wow.
