SCIMECA AND KNIERIM WITHDRAW FROM 2013 FOUR CONTINENTS DUE TO INJURY

(2/7/13) - Pairs team Alexa Scimeca and Chris Knierim withdrew Friday from the 2013 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships due to an injury to Scimeca.

Scimeca, 21, has been experiencing pain in her right foot since the first day of practice in Japan. She will undergo a full evaluation upon her return to Colorado Springs, Colo., where the team trains.

Not the best of starts. She doubled the side by side jump and put her hand down on the throw. Also a mistake on the side by side spin.

Felicia Zhang fell on the flip throw, but they are more polished than the Chinese pairs. I think their PCS will be around 25.

Argh, she fell on the throw sal. Spins are really out of sync.
Landed the SBS Sal, and good twist.
Should be around 57.

Not their best. The sbs triple salchows were good but she fell on the throw triple salchow and they messed up on the sbs spin. Pity. Some iffy moments.
