Sorry that I am posting this a LOT later than normal. I had seen on here that Jorick Hendrickx and Cherniavskaia / Souza-Kordyeru had withdrawn. So, I was waiting for them to be removed from the entry lists, and to see if they would be replaced.
Well, the entry lists are still the same as they were when they were last updated on the 17th November. So, consequently, I am keeping them in my predictions. But, it doesn't really matter, as I always had them outside my Top 5 anyway.
I am doing something very dangerous with most of my predictions this week. I’m going with my heart rather than my head.
And, as part of that going with my heart strategy, I have done something else very dangerous. I have not put Yuzuru in my Top 5. I know he doesn’t want to disappoint his home fans by pulling out, but he should be there.
If I was going purely on my heart, I would have put him way down the field in my predictions. But, I do not want to destroy my chances in the Game completely, so I have put Yuzu as my alternate.
For Paris and Ice Dance, apart from maybe the Top 2 or 3, they could finish in any order! They both have very well matched fields. And it really pained me to put the Japanese teams so far down in both.
Speaking of painful things, my habit of doing predictions on the whole field has resulted in me having to do something that is unimaginably painful. Yes, I am talking about putting Anna and Anne-Line at the bottom of my Ladies predictions. But it is just such a competitive field. Like, I have had to put people outside my Top 6 that could easily challenge for a podium if they had a couple of good skates.
This week is either going to be my saviour or the final destruction of my chances of a good result in the Game
