Has the medal ceremony finished? If so, does anyone know if there's a video of it somewhere? I couldn't find a livestream to work

Other than at the Russian test at the beginning of the season, do we really know what shape Sotnikova is in, how her programs are to think she'll go to Worlds?

I highly doubt she will be fit in time. The cast on her foot came off not long ago. Russian Worlds team will be Liza, Elena and Yulia. Bad performance by Yulia today but Anna is having a real mental breakdown.

Felt this competition was rather lacklustre. (With the exception of the crowds, it's so nice to see an enthusiastic crowd at a different location than at the usual places) Tuktamysheva deserved this win, loved Elena like usual, but getting a bit worried about her jumps. I'm sad for Anna, but she looks so mature, people seem to forget that she is so young still and seem to hold her to different standards. Let her be sad, let her look sad. It might be her character, being totally devastated. I think she has a right to that, as do all the others. Why should she smile, if she feels like crying?

Doesn't seem to be Yulia's year, although I really like her programs and think artistically she did improve from last season. Beside that I don't think a skate like that should have beaten Rika Hongo's...there have been a lot of discussions on this in the men's thread, but so much is tied to reputation, and the way falls don't seem to matter much anymore....ugh.

She supposedly should be participating in Russian nationals but I don't really know. Plenty of time left until worlds though.

To my mind Ashley cemented her position as US#1 over Gracie today.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SHE FULLY GETS WITH THE RAF PROGRAM!

But in all seriousness this is about as good a podium as I could have dreamed. You know my gut kept telling me I didn't think Julia was fully back yet I thought what happened today might happen, but for some reason I just didn't predict Ashley getting on the podium. The only jump she had issues with was the Sal in a brand new combination. If she keeps training like she did for this, she might be the one to beat at Nationals.

Ashley has improved every competition so far, except maybe her SP in GPF. Gracie won NHK with only 4 clean triples. Ashley is way better right now, IMO.

I'm not sure I could say the same. Ashley is nearing the end of her career, while Gracie is still the future of U.S. skating (to most people, anyway). Hard to knock Gracie for being out on injury, but many "what if's" for sure, and a surprise come back for Ashley.

While I'm a bigger Yulia fan than Anna fan (and enjoyed watching Yulia, mistakes and all, more than Anna), I'd just like to say one thing in Anna's defence: She did have two near-perfect skates at her first GP this year. Which is more than what Yulia managed.

I wouldn't be surprised if Anna had a good skate at Nationals. (But considering how she did here, and how Yulia did much better last season, I don't know if she'll make the world team even if she does skate well).

If Sot is not in shape, I can totally see Leonova "Ashley Wagner" her way into that last Worlds team spot.

I'm not sure I could say the same. Ashley is nearing the end of her career, while Gracie is still the future of U.S. skating (to most people, anyway). Hard to knock Gracie for being out on injury, but many "what if's" for sure, and a surprise come back for Ashley.

I just mean for this year. But Gracie seems to be missing that strong will and competitive fire Ashley has. I know she is talented. We'll see!

Definitely not; she said she plans to stay in until 2018 Olys.

People are saying this for years. I don´t believe it anymore.
