I am almost sad for how judging works. I see both Julia and Rika ahead, Julia 1st and Rika 3-4. I am not a certified specialist, still I know bits and pieces about figure skating. I watched Julia's flip frame by frame, and it was clearly inside edge. That was not looking like a Lutz at all. She had all kind of steps before, and was on outside edge but switched to inside before jumping. I agree that's not everybody point of view, still I think there are too many points lost for this jump. I didn't realize she always lost points in combination spin. Ups, Julia is far ahead in all spins. No lady these days comes even close (speed, and consistency, awesome positions at constant great speed)
Rika was amazing. Yes, she needs more polish about her positions, but she is already at a very good level. She needs some consistent good results...
Uf this judging is killing me. I noticed Julia's reaction at K&C. She was right...Hopefully she has a good LP.
