I agree about Machida. Something had to be wrong. He is so consistent.
But he had a very bad long at NHK- albeit not on the level of this debacle. and remember his Olympics meltdown. I DO think pressure is not his friend.

Yuzu already got it; Patrick was just over it I think? can't remember
If hanyu had landed that 3 lutz without any positive goe he would have scored 198 and something :eyes:

Ok, so good for Hanyu. He has a wonderful technical display of jumps. But I really don't think the overall program including spins, transitions and artistry is that outstanding. He seems like a very likeable guy but I just don't see the complete package. I think Javier displayed more of the completeness and polish that I want in a champion.

Why is everybody hating on Hanyu's costume? I preferred the CoC one, but I really enjoy this one too.
Unbelievably the pattern holds true again this year for Hanyu and Machida.
Hanyu peaks at GPF after a bad start, Machida bombs at GPF after a strong start to the season. hmm...is it just coincidence?
Nationals will be very interesting. I'm now less sure that Mura/Machida will finish ahead of Kozuka....

They will still finish ahead of Taka (unfortunately, the legend of poor taka continues) because I think Tatsu really just had A Bad Day Today.
I think the biggest threat to Yuzu and Tatsuki would be Shoma Uno. I wouldn't be surprised if Shoma makes it to Worlds Team, if he shows up at Nats with the same results as he did in JGPF yesterday.

(though he looks good for a Euros spot!)
