I guess nobody knows. I don't know either, but I could imagine Orser not having any right to forcefully withdraw him. He's 19. And I don't think it would make all that much sense either. There should have been a medical team, and that should have had the right to do it.

If Hanyu lost 10 more points of his PCS he would have still gotten silver.
If he lost 15 points he would have gotten bronze
Despite his skate here,he wasn't that bad to have scores in high 60,so he would have medaled anyway

Its ultimately the skater's decision whether to compete or not. Coaches, despite their close relationship with their students, are coaches and not parents. It was most likely Yuzuru's decison to compete. The ISU however should have a look at their procedures for incidents like these and make sure that they are better prepared to get medics on the ice faster and make. Or more stringent tests to determine whether or not a skater should or shouldnot compete after a collision.

ITA. Also they most definitely should have had a faster medical response. It's a sporting event, with blades and ice, of course there are going to be injuries and collisions sometimes. Very disappointing that they weren't attended to immediately.

Ge lost the bronze medal because he did three 3flips, what was his team thinking.

He zayaked because he did a 3a instead of a planned 4t. 2 x 3a, 2 x 3z, 2 x 3f.

Fallen elements should just not be counted and we'd solve out the problem. A fall it's a huge mistake and it should also have some effects on the performance mark, it's just way more distracting then an underrotation or a popped jump.

Hanyu's score is outrageous and offensive! He almost won! His 8's, especially in pe/ex, are too disgraceful to comprehend.

Here we go again. Good God! So many self-proclaimed experts are out again. This isn't Worlds 2013 where PChan miraculous won over a near flawless Ten. FYI Hanyu lost to an error filled Kovtun.

Kovtun didn't have 5 falls.

He had 5 falls, but still managed to do few big things, and he score about 150 score for FS. IT is 43 points down on his clean LP from last season. And you say that he was not penalized enough, because other skater couldn't score that with "better for you" skate and elements, really ? Kovtun got 83 PCS, and Yuzuru 84, and what judges could have done ? How you want to put his PCS down when his SS and overall program even when he was not fully fit was still better than Kovtun's program ?

He and Han Yan collided during the warmup. They looked unconcious (but we are not sure.) for a while, then both of them skated. Both of LP did not go well. Lots of heated discussions have been going on since then such as

- Who has the ultimate responsibility on deciding if the skater can compete or not on such situations.
- Yuzuru still managed to get a medal despite 5 falls. If the current judging system is adequate or not.

Yuzuru was unconscious and bleeding from his mouth and also had a cut on his chin. Han Yan was hurt and had to lie down for a while. Han was bleeding on his chin probably due to impact on the ice.

The whole competition was crazy and shouldn't have happened like... at all. We have so many competitions and situations were you can talk about scores in a context that actually makes sense, where's the need to complain about if an uninspired stumbling Kovtun should have beat a maybe-concussed definitely very shaken Hanyu or whatever.
The penalties for falls should be higher. It's old news, we all know that. If you want to complain so much, just wait till next week and you'll very likely get another chance for it were it's not as ridiculous because some actual health issues should be more important.

My point is that I have no problem. Yuzuru could receive lower PCS but then Kovtun still should have had lower pcs,lol, and the gap would be the same and placing



And I feel really bad, that some of you were so aware of Yuzuru and Yans health before skate, and no that doesn't matter. What matters is that I don't agree with this pcs, he didn't deserved that, my favourite deserved better. It's awfull. Every competition the same.

Please don't do that. In some countries, they use 220 volts, which could invoke serious injuries.

I really like Hanyu...But for tonight's performance, he should not wins silver medal...He falls 5 times in his program, but his TES and PCS was really over score..
