2014 Finlandia Trophy

Count me in. I wanted to say that earlier but was afraid others would attack me for bringing about body type issues again.

 (Sorry, not laughing at you. Just that I was about to post the same thing and you beat me to it. Now I shall run off to watch the video).

Why is Karen Chen's spin GOE ridiculous? Her spins are very fast, well centered, and with great positions. She deserves +2 (and +3 on her layback). Care to explain why she shouldn't receive such "ridiculous" GOE on her spins?

:rolleye:
You did not follow the argument, right?

Liza is skating very very well! She is coming back I am SOOOOOOOOOOO happy. Yes her ice coverage need to improve but I do think it's the least of her problem right now, as long as she lands her big jumps cleanly and gains back her confidence, her presentation will only get better and judges might rewards her with higher PCS as well.

I can NOT wait to see her live today!

Also Sammi, whose LP is in my top three favourite from last quad

One thing I think you can say about Cesario--she struck me as the only who really "got" Carmen as a character right, though Tessa is a very close runner up.

Yes. I think she's a bit underscored in PCS now. She also needs to work on transitions. It's her weakest point PCS-wise in my opinion.

Totally agree with you. Those two are just in their own league in the league of Carmens ;)

After reading Anastasia&Colin's blog, I feel like I really need to go buy a pair of stuffed toy horses to throw on the ice tomorrow

Really nice to see Liza back in the game! She found her confidence back with Bolero, great!! Hoping to see clean free from her today.

Looking forward to the protocols: Anastasia & Colin were amazing but their tech let them down :(

Petrov is in 2nd place (73.29) to Sergei (75.06). So close. I feel like Sergei was a bit underscored. But they both did well.

Men SP results

1. Voronov 75.06
2. Petrov 73.29
3. Rippon 68.53
4. Ge 64.96
5. Bychenko 59.03
6. Zubik 50.98
7. Virtanen 49.85
8. Strid 42.33

Voronov seemed to enjoy his program and skated very well.
Petrov had some trouble landing the second jump in his combination.

Voronov fell or something happened to his quad? I wonder? I thought if he lands all his jumps, he could receive more than 80 IMO.
