I just watched Jason's FS. Beautifully skated interpretation of T. I could not take my eyes off of Jason,
man didn't he tell a story. So many little nuances throughout the program. I thought he was fabulous!
As far as PC's go I would have given him 9's. Congrats to him!

How about pcs. What are Brezina and menshov doing to get brown pcs?

Personally I think Brezina was underscored in PCS. Or maybe because he's not from a big Fed.

The pcs margins were more notable than anything! It was a huge enormous landslide and what can be done by Brezina to get there? Can he ever? Does he have to move to US? Canada?

Thanks Mrs. P! I also saw how you posted the scoring breakdown potentially had he rotated all his triples and compared it to the most recent worlds. Perhaps he would need to find some other ways to make up the deficit too - I suppose a clean quad in both programs is 10 whole points - which would also lead to amped up PCS still... the ice is slippery and where others falter Jason can be very reliable.

gmeyer, I directed that post to you because you had responded to my post about is potential to make the podium and then wondered why people doubted it so much. I guess I assumed we were more in conversation at that moment and wanted to respond directly to what you wrote - or to add to that, your question inspired my longer post so I wanted to directly acknowledge you.

No I understood the first paragraph! But then after that I was wondering is the whole thing to me or just the first paragraph? Lol. But about the first paragraph it just so happens that no cop reform and revisions can ever make a quad necessary! No matter how much I want every winner of evey senior men's event to do a quad its just not required and nothing can make it required.

Is Andrew Dodds the brother of Matthew Dodds?

Yes. There are four Dodds brothers - Matthew is the oldest, then Andrew, then Jordan, and Ryan. Matthew, Jordan and Ryan all double-dip as both singles skaters and pairs skaters (Ryan is a Novice level, and rotates clockwise!).

Jason's T&I! The music! The hair! The only thing that bugged me about the sound effects was that - uncommonly for him - he missed the stabbing one. The costume - well, I'm in two minds. I actually quite like the top half - it makes him look very adult. I think the pants need to be darker and for heaven's sake shorten the tops of those boots. Those are what makes it look costume-shoppy, IMO.

Four URs surprises me: especially on that first 3A, I thought that was definitely around. Oh well. This happens sometimes when he's really nervous, and I guess he is, but the super-excellent thing about Jason is that he always seems to learn from each skate. I'm sure we'll see a much more improved skate at SkAm. LOVE that transition into the 3Lz.

Jason did not disappoint! I just watched his program and it was wonderful.
I'm interested to see how he can improve over the season.
I especially liked the last 30 seconds or so; the music was great.
One tiny annoying thing is that 'glug, glug' noise when Jason pretends to be drinking something. Could they possibly turn that down?
I think people are anxious to see Jason add a quad jump because they want him to WIN on the big competitions. You can't tell people not to want something.

Brezina has a nice LP too, but it doesn't have the impact that his SP had. I like his Blue waist-coat a lot.

IT'S SEPTEMBER, FOLKS. OH NO, THE WORLD THE ENDING BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T SKATE WELL IN SEPTEMBER.

Catching up on some of the videos.

I loved Alena Leonova's Chaplinesque routine - adorable and she skated really well except for the hand down on her 2A. Her costume is cute, too but can't she get black skates? The tan skates with the black leggings break up the line.

Liza T looked great as well - she has a maturity to her skating so far this season. Not loving the costume but it's different.

Gracie - eh. I've never really been a fan of hers and I don't think the pretty princess thing that Frank has given her is doing any favors. There's no personality to her skating at all. Maybe she'll get a new SP halfway thru the season like last year. Maybe she'll dust off her "Let it Go" program and make it competitive. At least she performed that with some sparkle.

I think Mariah Bell deserved more than 50 points -she's got a nice spark.

Jason's doing great and congrats to him for winning his first International Sr. competition. The hair is different, will be interesting if he keeps it like that all season.

I don't mind the program so much itself, but her jumps themselves look so damn clunky. Her loop and axels look dangerous in general, and if we're being honest here, they have been since Nationals.

Well I do think Jason's PCS is a bit high comparing to Brezina but his long program is very nice indeed. I don't like his SP much but it's alright. Let's just see how they score him in senior A. For now I am okay. I don't think you should be so negative about jason. His LP has really good choreoraphy.

I used to say that of Hanyu's PCS escpecially his Olympics long program. I would have put it in the range of six but I guess he littered the ice so beautifully and became a human Zambonie and therefore deserved of those PCS. Make sense to you? Yucks!

Watch Hanyu's Olympics long program performance and then watch this without bias. You "might" agree with the judges.
