I don't think there is any contest between Ashley and Polina. Polina just waves her arms around most of the time. Ashley is a very artistic and mature skater. She has been the US's best female skater for the last couple years - why is everyone so down on her? This has been her dream for a long time and she has worked very hard to get to there. I hope she does well for the US and herself.

Knowing both Yulia and Polina are only 15 makes me afraid one of them will be hit hard by the puberty monster and it'll be devastating. But at least they got to the Olympics before that happened fully

Wow, great job Polina! Despite all the fuss at US Nationals, this is my first time seeing her skate and she's so cute! I personally thought her 3/3 could have squeaked by without a UR. Sounds like she had a rough practice yesterday so it's so great to see her pull it together in front of the judges. Way to represent yourself and USA!!
