First, congrats to Yuna, Adelina, and Carolina. Three clean skating! (Clean defined as all positive GOE.)
Yuna was a bit nervous (she even said so at the interview after the program), but did fine anyway. I think people saying Yuna's programs this year is not very exciting do have merit, but in my opinion they are not supposed to be exciting. Both programs are about saying goodbye, and this year is her last year. I think Yuna should have got level 4 for step sequence. (She did in Golden Spin.)
Poor Yulia. Fall was so unexpected. I hope she does better in FS. (But Yulia should have got flutz called.)
I note that Gracie had the highest base value program among all ladies, a point higher than even Yuna. (Because you get 1.1 multiplier for jumps done in the later half.) But she got negative GOE on 2A. (Maybe because it was done later?)

I agree. OMG....I can't wait until the Olympics are over. It's hard feeling this way being a fan of so many Russian skaters but I didn't think it would be like this.

Daaria mentioned the word "great" which is a compliment, you should know better that she/he meant now insult at all. You came ti us like we are bunch of racists while we are just not good at english. Looking at how 2nd and 3rd were overscored, saying Gracie should get somewhere in the 70's(70 to 71) is not unreasonable.

A choreography doesn't necessary needs to be a «DIVA» for getting 9s, the sport would be boring if we decide that only «Diva» choreography deserve the high mark. Adelina style maybe isn't your cup of tea, but she is truly a world class in her own style.

Sonikova has speed, Yuna was slower in her FS
also her feet gives her an ugly position when stroking
*Transitions
Yuna 7.75 Adelina 9.00
this is a no brainer, Yuna is stuck in 2006-2010, she still lack transitions
going in and exiting on her jumps
*Choreography
Sotnikova sold Carmen, sultry femme fatale, judges will always prefer either moving or engaging program
the rest of the components are debatable
and Yuna might win

They are the worst audience I've seen yet in 20 years. Full of partisan ingrates. In the men's event, at least the capacity was like 30% so it was a little quiet and far too weird. With pairs and dance, same thing.
