LOL. I love both of them but.... please :sarcasm:

It should be the opposite....................

IMO, You are reading the protocols wrong.
The scores are shuffled between each skater.
Meaning: J1 for Yuna is not the same J1 for Adelina.

The order should be

1. Yuna
2. Carolina
3. Gracie
4. Adelina

It's a joke that Adelina received 8's and 9's on her GOE. Shame on the judges. The judging is even worse than in the 6.0 days. There's even more cheating going on here than during the Sale and Pelletier scandal. Ashley Wagner and Polina Edmunds should be beating Julia. Falls should be a 3 point deduction.

A choreography doesn't necessary needs to be a «DIVA» for getting 9s, the sport would be boring if we decide that only «Diva» choreography deserve the high mark. Adelina style maybe isn't your cup of tea, but she is truly a world class in her own style.
Oh, please. If this is true, Adelina received 1.25 higher in choreography and 0.75 in SKATING SKILLS of all things above Yuna. It looks odd, if nothing else.

I totally agree. Sotnikova´s program is not medal material. She´s giving it her dramatic best but it seems thin. Is that really level 4 footwork and spins?

That doesnt explain how Sotnikova's crappy program (I mean the program itself, the performance was very good) with some of the worst choreography and a sea of meaningless arm movements could be given more than 6s in interpretation and choreography let alone high 9s in interpretation and choreography (vs barely 8s for Kostner and Kim's way better programs) from the couple faux Russian judges.

You know what, if you are gonna be a troll, at least use your avatar photo as something other than the person you are a fanboy of
I really do like Gracie Gold and hope she ends up on the podium but seeing her picture next to your disgusting posts is making me like her a bit less
Just a tip until you grow up and learn how to behave in the society, OK?

pls calling a group of people uncivilized speaks volume of a person
xenophobia is a cancer that needs to be ridden out

The columns are not all one judge, they're anonymous. If you look at column one the first # could be from judge # 2, the second from judge #7 and so on.

Oh, please. That one judge didn't put Adelina at the same level as Yuna or Caro. He/she gave Adelina 1.25 higher in choreography and 0.75 in SKATING SKILLS of all things above Yuna. Really?

That post was very wrong because you can't read protocols that way.Judges are not listed same for every skater. Kim's 1st judge could be Sotnikova's 8th judge

I thought everyone in figure skating knows that:laugh:

I liked Adelina's program...but come on...she was not even close to Yuna or Carolina...even the commentators here were very surprised by her scores, they said she should be around 70 before her scores being announced...

I'm devastated for Mao. I just hope she can have a skate that she's happy with tomorrow and maybe make history as the first woman to land 8 triples in one competition.

Underscored: Kim, Li
Overscored: the Russians, Gold
Li is always underscored (except in 2013 where she slayed) but since she's from China...:ohwell:

One hundred and twenty-six. Not bad guys.

Brooklee qualified for the free skate! AAAAAAAAAAAH YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Been watching my recording (must stop soon, have to go to work) and so happy for Brooklee! And Polina was lovely, I loved her, her jumps are so light and airy - far better than Lipnitskaya's.

Those judges should never be allowed to judge again. I see a scandal blooming here. If Yuna Kim has a clean skate tomorrow she should win. There's no one better than her right now. Adelina Sotnikova doesn't even come close with her unrefined moves and rough foot work.

I am so proud of Yuna. I don't understand when people say that she is resting on her laurels. I think that she is doing the very best she can given that she's been punishing her body for many more years than the youngers. Perhaps some people may not understand how hard it is to keep up the incredible skills and consistency that she's had all these years. Plus, she's dealt with many injuries, and her body at 23 is not the same as in her teens. There is a very good reason she doesn't do the 3 loop anymore or the Bielmann spin. I, for one, am ecstatic to have her in the mix at this Olympics, and think she looks great! Her programs may not be masterpieces this season, but I think it's unfair to say that she's resting on her laurels.

Yes Polina was awesome so much better than Julia's small jumps and Polina's jumps are done correctly. Polina's body reminds me of Oksana Baiul.

i am so happy for carolina. she skated beautifully and outdid her performance in the team event which i did not think was possible. she skated the best program of her career when it counted. she created another amazing olympic moment. she's the only skater who received a 10 tonight. congratulations carolina!

i thought she was the best of the night and while it would be nice if she had been first, i think being third (three way tie for first) will be better for her nerves heading into the long program tomorrow night. her layback spin and step sequence were deemed a level 3 instead of a level 4 so she lost a couple points there. i could not believe my eyes when i saw her prepare for the jump combination and she did a triple flip/triple toe instead of the triple toe/triple toe which she has been doing in the short program the past 4 years- it's very nice to see her bring up her technical score when it matters because all her fans know she has it in her. maybe she read what i said couple days ago on here, haha.

best of luck tomorrow night, carolina. don't think about the results- just go out there, stay focused throughout the entire long program and enjoy the moment

ps-someone needs to step in and talk to the judges before the long program tomorrow night and tell them to reign in adelina's scores. the fact that she is in second place with a much less difficult short program than carolina or yu na is a travesty. her scores, like julia's, have been ridiculous inflated because she is russian and skating at home. someone must do something. octavio!
