2015-16 Russian Qualifiers and other events

This pair was only 8th but what is interesting about this pair is the fact she has multiple triples. This is her (and his) first year as a pair skater and obviously they need a lot of work but their size difference and her jumps makes this pair one to watch in the future. They are from Perm.

What is particularly amazing is that they are taught by Tiukova and Tiukov, coaches known for having pairs with high level of pair elements but frequently no triple jumps (Gubanova/Sintsov and Vygalova/Zakroev's coaches)

The same pair at the Nationals Elder Age.

Lina Kudryavtseva / Timofei Kuznetsov FS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5sXnFwbIoo

They did better than what they did at the Russian Winter Games. I Would like to see them at JGP next season but it would be very difficult for them to make it there since Russia has pairs like Mishina/Mirzoev, Borisova/Sopot, Atakhanova/Spiridonov and Ustimkina/Volodin. Basically they would have to beat one of the pairs like Poluianova/Korotkov and Ivanova/Khakimov if they want to make their JGP debut next season. Anyway, they are very promising but their pair elements needs a lot of work.

Besides previously mentioned Lina Kudryavtseva / Timofei Kuznetsov this new pair looks very promising.

Maria Bogoslovskaya / Denis Khodykin FS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6RUi_gAH88

They are a new pair and this is her first season as a pair skater. Despite this being their first season some of their pair elements looks good. Anyway, the best thing is that she has multiple triples and also they have a good size difference.

In ladies this year's Nats Elder Age are unusually strong.
I guess with constant progress in junior/novice ranks, it's gonna become quite a serious tourney, not just "second tier junior nats". There are simply so many brilliant girls and just one podium in Pervenstvo. :drama:
These masses of uber talents need more than one competition to showcase their skills before JGP assignment.

Yep, it is a lot more like a "second junior nats" than "second tier junior nats".

Battle for Ladies JGP spots - summary

Russian Senior singles solve "who is who" at first at Internationals - GP, Challenge Series, Euro, Worlds.
Very important of home competitions are only Nationals - at first because on results of Nationals is made team for Euro and Worlds.
Some minor role plays Final of Russian Cup (Senior).

Situation for Juniors and especially pre-Juniors (who can not have Junior Internationals) differs very much.
For them most important are JrNats(shortly mentioned as N), Final of Russian Cup-Junior(F), Natonals Younger Age (Y), Spartakiad-Winter Games(S), Nationals Elder Age (E).
JGP Finalists and JrNats Medalists in Ladies - Tsurskata, Sotskova, Fedichkina - don't need to prove anything else. Sotskova probably will move to GP, Tsurskaya and Fedichkina (not eligible to Senior competitions) are two first pretenders to JGP Spots.

Let us see the results (place and score) of other Ladies, who are eligible to JGP Events next season, at JGP Events, N, F, Y(SP+FS), S, E.
