2015-16 Russian Qualifiers and other events

I can't see why Alisa F would want to skate at junior B nationals.

This partly depends on how she will do at the Junior Worlds. If she does great then she will have nothing to worry about but if she doesn't then it might be a different story. The thing is that the depth of the young Russian ladies is so great at the moment that only Polina can be sure that she will get 2 JGP assignments next season. Alisa will most likely get 2 events also but she can not be so sure about it especially since she recently lost to Konstantinova and Tarusina, and she only narrowly beat girls like Zagitova and Kurakova. Alisa did great at the Russian Junior Championships and that counts a lot but as we have seen she is beatable and there are a lot of girls aiming for JGP spots.

They are uploading videos SO slowly.

Still no videos of the last two groups or so. Hopefully those videos will appear later but it doesn't look very promising. Maybe they had some problems with their camera and they didn't get more videos or something.

They are posted now. :agree:

Four clear favourities for 2003-04s: Vasilieva, Mukhortova, Shcherbakova and Tarusina.
Anybody on the podium outside these four will be a big surprise.
I personally think last two are the most promising regarding single seniors.
...and they finished top two. :dance3:;)
Bravo Annas! :cheer2:

Right now Trusova is probably my favorite out of the Girls Elder age.
But they are all extremely talented.

III Final Winter Games, Saransk, 23 - 28 March 2016

List of skaters.

Very interesting competition, although sadly there will be some WDs because obviously Polina and Amina/Ilia will not skate here.

Anyway, many skaters from Junior Worlds will be here (or they are on the list at the moment), like Sotskova, Aliev, Borisova/Sopot and Shpilevaya/Smirnov. Also skaters like Konstantinova, Sakhanovich and Ustimkina/Volodin will skate here.

By the way, it is worth a mention that Anastasia Skoptcova will take part to Russian Winter Games 2nd time. Last time, in 2012, she skated with her previous partner and finished 7th. She did better than her current partner who was 10th with his previous partner. There might be other skaters also who will take part 2nd time to this games because I only took a brief look at previous games.

Wow, that's a lot of skaters. I hope the ones who competed at JW won't be totally exhausted and burned out.

III Final Winter Games, Saransk, 23 - 28 March 2016

It is like mini Youth Olympics, many winter sports (skiing, speed skating etc etc), and figure skating too.
Main competition is between regions (places at all particulary sports give points for region), because of this regions send as strong competitors as possible.

For figure skating:

That will be very interesting competition.

Still no full official list of competitors but here is the list of training groups including pairs and ice dance. As usual, ladies competition will be very interesting because skaters like Konstantinova, Gubanova, Samodurova, Tarusina, Mukhortova, Vasilyeva and Panenkova will compete here. Also in pairs there will be Ustimkina/Volodin among others.

It is very important competition to earn places at National Team and spots at JGP Events.

From Moscow:
Vasilyeva - not eligible for JGP, 3rd at Nationals Younger Age, no need of high results at this competition (she earned spot at National Team), but of course wants medal
Panenkova, Gulyakova, Mitrofanova. Mukhortova - eligible for JGP, need medal because no high results of National level competitions.
Tarusina - eligible for JGP, 7th at JrNats, 2nd at Nats Younger Age, 2nd at Final of Russian Cup, of course wants medal (high chance to JGP will be higher).

From StPetersburg
Konstantinova - eligible for JGP, 1st at Final of Russian Cup, of course wants medal (high chance to JGP will be higher).
Gubanova, Pavlova - eligible for JGP, need medal because no high results of National level competitions.
Samodurova - 6th at JrNats, needs medal to make her chance to JGP higher.

10 strong girls, all pretend to medals.
