2015 Japan Open

stream link - http://mov3.co/en/tvtokyo/ for those who are curious

a giant jenga game is currently on
don't know what they're saying but it looks exciting to watch :agree:

There will be the special TV program "Welcome back, Mao Asada" from 4pm (in Japanese time) on the same channel :)The program's length is 75 minutes. It's 1:30 PM in Japan btw.

Hmmm... Sotnikova is only doing 2 combos and a solo 3T... she's definitely in "please don't fall" mode. She signed up really early for this event and I wonder how she feels about that now. I like Sotnikova a lot, but she seems insecure, distracted, and undriven. It looks like she's made some improvements in her skating and presentation but it doesn't seem like the jumps are coming.

And some people will hate me for saying it, but the 3A from this video looks pretty UR'd(takeoff, landing) .

What about any Senior ladies? That's the important question. Things are much easier when you are under 16 years old. lol.
In 2006-09, Mao Asada and Miki Ando had quite a few ratified 3F-3Lo and 3Lz-3Lo combinations, respectively. Neither of them were under the age of 16.

As far as I know, Adelina is the last lady to have it "fully" (both the first triple and the +3Lo) ratified on the senior level back in 2013 GPF...she did get an edge call on the lutz though. Mao actually had the +3Lo ratified at Worlds 2014 but the first triple (3F) got <.

Why is Liza not doing a second Lutz? Or at least not planning it, I mean at least replace the flip or replace the double axel with it or even replace the the 2A with a 3S :P

Jeremy popped first 3F, slipped off his edge (?) on the 3Lz, and landed two beautiful 3A (one 3A+1Lo+3S). Otherwise skated beautifully. As usual.
