2015 Japan Open

i do not find miyahara's skating good. it doesn't do anything for me. tiny jumps. just not very impressed by her. at least she is consistent though.

Finally someone who thinks like me :slink:
Major pre-rotating that she never gets called on... And I still don't see the whole "Musicality" thing that everyone keeps saying..

Tiny jumps but great skating skills and spins and overall quality really (at least for me). Better choreographic content than most ladies as well.

Well, Satoko apparently got a standing ovation so it must have been good. Japanese audience knows when they've seen something great.

It's all in her posture. For most skaters her age, they kinda move their bodies all over the place, but Satoko is able to keep her posture in a straight position... It's kinda hard to explain, but try watching Julia Lipnitskaia and then Satoko, and you'll definitely see something different.

^^ it's definitely the way she carries herself. For me it makes her skating seem very steady and calm.

Agree with this. Satoko is a lovely skater, but jumps are definitely not her strong suit.
