2015 Lombardia Trophy (Italy), Sep 17 - 20

since you started it, here is tied bow to make the count even, and he even used it as part of choreo  despite the mistakes he didnt let it affect the program, performance wise it was the best for me
btw crying young kids is heartbreaking but its part of their learning process, i hope they wont feel discouraged :cheer:

Edit: wow he looked really pissed at K&C, wonder what happened

Gabriele FRANGIPANI was the second guy wearing a bow tie (this time tied) and the second guy to catch me out with a change of music

I wonder if there is a correllation between music and bow ties?

Strange towards the end of the routine. He fell, and then was wandering around lost like Wakababy. Then he started again for the last wee bit.

When he got to the sofa, he immediately started taking his shirt off. And he was really losing his temper. He tried to leave a few times, and his coach had to keep dragging him back. And he was still losing his temper!

He finally did get away as soon as the scores were announced.

Not a very good way to react when cameras are filming it and it is being streamed around the world!

Erm, what's "TTT" (I'm no good with abbreviations! )
the 2 towers:biggrin:
It was the fist time I ever heard this music so i associate it with LOTR til this day:laugh:

Oh, no. I switch off the chat all the time after the obscene comments that were being made during the first 2 Junior GP's.

Yes, I felt I was missing out when reading through the Golden Skate threads and finding out there were loads of skaters commenting during Colorado Springs. But, I wasn't watching LIVE that week, so I wouldn't have been able to read them anyway!
ah no my experience with the chat is great. at least the Cyrillic part of it  lots of hilarious ppl
Fangirling over Yamato in the recent Men's JGP especially

Yeah I couldn't watch the Colorado GP either. I lost my chance to express my love to Nam:cry:

Duh! How did I not work that one out?! :slink: :o:

I thought you were referring to TV channel I hadn't heard tell of before.

Or maybe even a person!!! (à la Kirsten Moore-Towers being "KMT")

Sorry, I forgot to post an alert that the Junior Ladies FS was starting. (Well, with theway that everything is running late, it is hard to keep up!)

First skater just finished (Irene MANAU). Wasn't too sure at first with a female sining "Nessun Dorma" (I'm a Pavarotti fan), but it worked.

Skating wasn't bad. I fancy her to move up.

Right. That's it official. There IS a correllation between bow ties and getting caught out by changes of music.

Because it happened TWICE during Karen GHEBARRI's routine, and she was wearing a bow tie!

You know, when she had that choreographed false start, I thought it was going to be a Charlie Chaplin comedy routine. But, it turned out to be a proper straight routine.

I LOVED her Chinese theme routine yesterday, and I LOVED her routine today.

She may not finish too high up the results table this week. But by the end of the season, when the routines are more polished, I can see her not doing too badly come Worlds!

I've only seen her in one competition, but already I'm a fan!

It's great to see a country that isn't known for figure skating having a promising looking skater.

does anyone have the scores for the junior ladies and men? The results page hasn't been updated:(

Junior Ladies has only just started, and Junior Men is on afterwards.

It was the Advanced Novice competitions that we were commentating on this morning.

another Julia inspired routine, with similar costume  she is pretty flexible too but didnt understand 2nd music :slink:

You know, I thought it was a great achievement when we had a Bulgarian finish on the podium in the Advanced Novice Ladies this morning.

Well, I think it's safe to say that this one won't do the same in Junior Ladies.

That was a disaster of a skate from Simona GOSPODINOVA. If she doesn't go to the bottom in the FS, I'll be surprised.

But, her SP score might save her from going bottom overall.

Better luck next time.

CaroLiza_fan

EDIT: It didn't save her. She's a full 6.61 points below the girl that had previously been at the bottom overall!

I am still here. Just didn't really have anything to comment about over the past hour.

At least the Bulgarian girl in the last group (Teodora MARKOVA) did better than her team-mate earlier on. Markaova is currently lying 3rd, with 11 to go.Although, I really didn't like her dress.

Group 4 warm-up just finished.

Oh drat!

The first girl in Group 4, Elisabetta LECCARDI, had a bad fall not long into the programme.

She hasn't got up, and there are loads of medical people with her.

She's talking away to them and moving her arms about, so she is definitely conscious.

But they're not making any moves yet to move her.

CaroLiza_fan

They've put a neck brace on her, and taken her skates off in preparation for moving her onto a stretcher.

She has a MASSIVE bruise on her left leg.

Currently being stretchered away. Audience is clapping.

Really don't like seeing things like this.

Next girl, Rebecca GHILARDI, did an extra warm-up, and then went over to the panel.

She was then announced, and is just starting her routine now.

Considering what happened just before she came on, Rebecca did a great job.

New leader overall by about 4 points (and by nearly 2 points in the FS).

During the warm-up?

During the warm-up?

No. It happened just less than a minute into her routine.

The medical staff were with her within about 20 seconds of it happening. They did a great job getting to her quickly, and then taking their time to sort her out properly.

(Unlike what we have seen at the Cup of China on a couple of occasions in the past...)

So, well done to them!

All the best for your recovery, Elisabetta!

Typical. Warm-up finishes, and stream immediately falls off air!

It did come back about a couple of minutes later, but missed start of LEE Seo Young. :bang:

What we did see of her looked good, though!

Unless anything untoward happened when we were off-air, I would say new leader.

But, she doesn't look happy. So, maybe something did happen.

EDIT: Yep, 2 points of deductions says something did happen!

You know, after Eveline Brunner and Anna Ovcharova retired unexpectedly, we were all wondering who was going to replace them as Switzerland's top Ladies skater.

Well, Shaline RUEGGER is looking VERY promising!

Let's just hope that she doesn't continue the Swiss trend of retiring when she's around 18/19...
