2015 Nebelhorn Trophy General Chat

Unfortunately, I have to go to work tomorrow, and the pairs SP and men's SP are both at ugly morning times my time. So I hope when I wake up tomorrow, there will be lots of information about Paris and Matthew, Andrew and Max!

Its so fun to see Juulia practice. Tarja explains the stuff that she has to work on so good, that even someone like me who never skated understands it. If I ever take a skating lesson, I surely go to Finland.

If I saw it correctly, she was working quite hard on her Flip, Axel was fine after a little struggle at the beginning. She has as always wonderful program.

Why does Mirai only wear one glove during practice? Does anyone know?

Ted Barton just did a plug for the Nebelhorn coverage during the Group 2 Warm-up at the Copernicus Trophy Ladies SP. He also added that he would be giving updates on what was happening at the Nebelhorn throughout the Junior GP coverage.

However, Ted then got a message passed to him, and he told us that something was broken at the rink in Oberstdorf, and that they would try to get it fixed before the competition starts.

Unfortunately, I couldn't make out what Ted said it was. So, do you know Alex D? And if you do, is it something that is liable to affect the coverage (or even the competition)?

I will try to get an answer for that. ;)

Draw for Ladies is now. Update to Niki, she is quite some crash pilot to be honest, but still so elegant. She sneaks like a cat over the ice, fascinating.

Update.

AS I was told they are still working on it and it should be ok once comp starts.

At Deu.de you can also find the video link btw.

Thanks for looking into it, Alex. I appreciate it. ;)

By the way, Ted just gave the Nebelhorn another plug during the Group 4 Warm-up. (We're running ahead of schedule in Poland because the final girl in Group 3 withdrew).

I'll see you all over here in just over an hour!

Thanks so much Alex D for all the info and for checking on the live stream. The rink is lovely and the countryside is fabulous!

Katharina is on the ice, great!

I wish you guys a lot of fun with dance and pairs, talk to ya later.

Quite excited for this! It's the first competition this year I'm going to be able to watch live, so that's an added bonus!

I hope we all appreciate the hard work Alex D has been putting into promoting the German events on this forum. I certainly do!

Unfortunately, I stayed at Toruń slightly too long (I wasnted to see the girl from Hong Kong), so I missed most of the introduction.

Let's hope for a good day of competitions!

All the best to all the skaters!

Muller and Dieck were pleasant to watch but clearly aren't technically all the way there yet. I do think they created the mood fairly well, though at times they struggled to maintain it.

Well, unfortunately it's bedtime here. Good night everyone!

Fingers crossed for Paris and Matthew, Andrew and Max!

Is the live commentary going out over the rink PA system?!
Or are they just adding an electronic reverb/echo effect to the audio signal?

Either way, I find it disturbing...!

I hope it's not going out over the rink system!!! I think they are adding it somehow to the video, at least I hope so... I also find it jarring.
