Been a tough year for them. After looking so good last year too - this gives a lot of hope (sadly in some ways) for the Americans and Chinese that they will surpass this duo.
 
Injuries and Ills really has an effect on the skating community.

Potentially: With Jason Brown somewhat injured it would appear if he makes the world team means USA may be disadvantaged in regaining three spots = Nathan is their great hope but with Jason at least now not 100percent and Adam out well there is more pressure to regain 3 spots.

With the Russian Injuries or recover, I guess we can't see pregnancy is an injury or ill, well their pairs situation is hugely compromised and I suppose potentially could lose their third sot.

With the injury to Seguin and Bilodeau Canada's three spots become in jeoporday and China's chances for three spots increases. S and B seemed more of a sure solid top 8 than I and M.

With the injury to Polina Edmunds the USA is more vulnerable in losing three spots and she was very consistent.



With the injury to Mao the Japanaese ladies aren't affected as much because she hasa been slipping for a while.

No way does Russian lose their 3rd spot for Pairs if S/K are healthy. Between them and T/M i can't see them finishing worse then 13th combined. In fact both teams are medal contenders.
 
I'm so, so sad to hear Julianne and Charlie withdrew. I was looking forward to a rebound in the second half of the season. But I wish Julianne a quick recovery so they can come back strong next season :dance3:

So for sure they can't go to worlds. I think and assume if M-T and M place third behind D and R and I/M that the safer bet if healthy is S/B who already missed last year.
 
Oops I forgot about them there are so many good ice dance teams. Smart move though I am sorry to hear her pain.
