2016-17 Russian Qualifiers and other events

I think there is a lot of potential in this tiny little girl. I mean, she is still a kid, can't quite project women's skating with her body, but her hands and her face have that special feel of big talent. She seems to listen, filter and emanate the music, there is a bit different touch to her skating than other Eteri girls.
For example, there was usual stacking up jumps in the second half, but she executed it so nicely and fluently, that I didn't feel program was unbalanced at all. That's a nice skill to have at 12. :)

Favorite LP so far among the Russian girls.

This young lady looks extremely composed and collected, for people of any ages.
What is even more promising, is she has very good upward lift in her jumps. The height of her jumps are higher than what I would expect from her take-off.

and all of this basically without the muscles, that in the future (hopefully) are going to elevate and stabilize them even further...

Do we know who will be skating at the 2nd stage of St. Petersburg Cup which will start on tuesday?

I was trying to find out the startlists but couldn't find them.

Junior ladies. Elena Pavlova is now in Mishin's school since her coach has moved there too. Samodurova is also on the start list.

Ladies. The name that interests me here is Alina Solovieva, born 2002. I don't know of any other girl by the same name at this age than the one who is supposed to be coached by Goncharenko. However the club/school listed under her name is Mishin's school. Has this girl moved to SPB or is it some other girl by the same name?

As far as I know, there are two Alina Solovieva. One is doing singles; she has done pretty well a few years ago on novice/younger juniors, I think she medalled at junior B nationals a year or two ago but last season didn't do that well and therefore did not get a JGP event. Second Alina Solovieva is doing pairs. They were fourth at junior pairs nationals, but then last season they competed only twice (in seniors because her partner aged out) and didn't do that great. Possibly injuries or puberty.

The first girl you're referring to is the one who is Goncharenko's student. The second one according to fskate is born in 2000 so it's not the girl on the start list.
Well anyway, we'll find out soon. There should be photos of from the event.

Samodurova versus Gubanova. We will see who comes on top. Gubanova is generally better but less consistent. Samodurova manages to deliver under pressure.

Does Olympic Reserve mean they are only old enough for the 2022 Olympics, or it means they are junior skaters who didn't make to the JGP?

I don't think the "Olympic" in the name means anything specific, maybe it's financed from different sources. I'm not an expert though, feel invited to correct me.

Thank you for including Kamila!
However, honestly, she should be paired up in ice dance.

I saw Yulia at the test skates on YouTube. I saw that she finally re-added her lutz-toe combination back! She landed it well, but here triple toe looked a little bit under rotated. Anna's skate was good, she landed her triple-triple well! Elena fell on her lutz, I think. I stopped watching because of a reason. Did she then land her loop-toe or flip-toe? Elizaveta was good Did she get rid of her triple axel, because I only saw to the part where she landed her triple toe-double toe. Evgenia, was fabulous, as always. I know that she is consistent. I hope she doesn't get out of her game like how Yulia did for the past two seasons. Adelina was good, but not marvelous. I also saw Yulia's free program, and she added the lutz-toe back again! I'm sure she'll medal at Ondrej Nepala and one of the GP assignments. Now, I think that the Russian Championships will be like a Mini-Olympics.
