I just posted in another thread about how I hate the name "half loop" - why can't that particular jump have its own name altogether?
It does - it's called Euler jump. It's not commonly used by English speakers though, just like loop jump isn't usually called Rittberger, even though it would make sense considering Lutz and Salchow are similarly derived from the names of those who performed them first. In Russian they're all called by these names.

Ah yes I understand now. At first I thought everyone was talking about the mathematician Leonhard Euler... Lol. Apparently I know more about 18th century mathematicians than I do about alternate names for figure skating jumps.

This is somewhat likely. Was there not the story about Eteri not being interested in her for the longest time but Yulia's mom pushed her onto her and then eventually Yulia learned her triples really fast? Perhaps Eteri saw that she had no real talent and knew that those jumps were not going to last.
Lozko might have a 3Lo-3Lo, but does he have a .... Toe loop? Why do none of her jump combos have a toe loop? She also loses a ton of base TES with her jump layout so there's no way it can be called good in my opinion.
She also has the ugliest flutz I've ever seen.

She did jump 3T in sequence with 2A in every FS last season, so yes she does have toe loop. Not using it in combos likely goes back to my original point - not getting enough height to rotate it through as a second jump, that and 3T+2A+Seq being more valuable than 2A+2T. Overall there is a whole range of assessments that can fit in-between "very poor" and "good", and if Lozko's jumps are somewhere in that range with potential for improvement, I wouldn't say she's in such a bad spot.
Also her Lutz was fine in her last competition.

According to me it is quite probable that we'll see Lozko in Junior Grand Prix circuit.
Even though she has a considerable room for improvement I find her quite a lovely skater: she has a wonderful extension (Medvedeva-like) and her spins are crazy fast.
I wound't say that her jumps are that terrible either: she may not have the best toe jumps in the field but her 2A is effortless and she does have a 3L-3L.

Kadyrova has really an impressive technique on the 3 Flip! Russian girls are simply amazing :luv17:
While Shcherbakova has an incredible mastery of the lutz and has a beautiful presence on the ice, and such good upper body movements for a 12 years old!

Nugumanova on the reserve? Hmm....
That would make more sense to me as well, but they probably did not want to do the to the reigning OGM. I hope good things happen for Sotskova
