i agree, for example to me the Euro ladies captain should be Carolina Kostner (why she wasn't invited?).

Also i would have invited some skater from the juniors, it would be funny to see Juniors vs Seniors.

My guess would be that they wanted the Captains to no longer be competitive skaters and Kostner is keeping herself in for possibly competiting next season.

Honestly, I think this is a bit too irrelevant (in mainstream terms) and low profile for them to bother with.

True. But I was trying to have fun speculation cause 4Chan seems to do weird stuff and have a lot of people vote for something or nominate something that's....not really appropriate. Now the nominees here are right, but I'm just saying. 4Chan is probably not behind it, but yeah....

Every time I see 4Chan mentioned here, I think of 4everchan. But no, I don't think 4Chan cares about skating even a little bit.

I'm not really surprised Kovtun is leading, because Kolyada has really only been in one major international competition so far. He's not well known by casual fans, while Kovtun is more established, and quite popular in Japan...he's been invited to be part of Mao's show more than once.

The USFSA showed that they have no understanding of today's Internet culture. They must not be following the U.S. Presidential candidates on Twitter. What was disgusting yesterday is just life in the fast lane today.

But this slashing of ticket prices is bad news. They are afraid that the event will be a box office dud.

Cutting ticket prices is never good if there are a bunch of tickets yet to sell. I remember Spokane Nats 2007 when they had a sold out audience for Novice Dance cause basically the LOC just gave tickets away and it was on temperary ice anyway at the convention center where fan fest was. But this sounds different. I must look tonight before I leave tomarrow for Boston and check this out....I was one of the first to buy tickets last year for TCC and they gave me seventh row! Ouch.
OK, just looked. For now, this is what they say. We shall see if they have a booth at worlds.

I would love to go to this but as I'm mostly interested in ladies singles there is no way I'd pay money to fly out and watch this. Last year I would have bought a ticket and scheduled a flight in a heartbeat to see Liza and Elena perform. This year... ehh. I dislike all both programs from both skaters and they just aren't where they were last year performance wise. And seeing as Evgenia more than likely won't get to go there is just no reason to want to come out and see this event.
