2016 US Nationals Senior Men SP

Max, Ross and Adam: Yesssss! :yahoo: For once in my life I completely agree with a result, even if it is just the SP. That makes me nervous ;)

Better have electricity, and a Korean feed, for that LP. Can't wait.:dance3:

Max and Nathan were underscored, especially Nathan. Ross and Adam were overscored.

I agree with this except for Ross. Usually I am all about the performance aspect, but Max and especially Nathan did bring more than just jumps even if they have room to grow. But, I mean, I am only cranky about a couple of points here or there and think the important skaters are still in it, so I guess I can't complain too much. I would have had Nathan in third tonight and wonder if he would have scored higher skating later. I'll have to look at protocals later.

I only caught the last half hour. Who did a quad other than Aaron? He's improving and what a difference it made seeing him on the ice after watching the lower tier skaters (altho' my favorite skater of the night is Robert P...can't spell his last name but what a personality!). Adam is a beautiful skater. Thanks for the link--I felt like I was watching bootleg TV.

Nathan Chen - 4s stepout + 4toe3toe
Vincent Zhao - 4s (I think) downgraded
Grant Hochstein - 4s (fall)
Emmanuel Savary - 4s or 4t (fall)

These are the ones that I remember

Let's see if I can remember them all (in other words, please people fill in what I miss). Emmanuel Savary attempted a quad Salchow. Nathan Chen did two (!) in his program, quad Salchow solo and quad toe-triple toe combo. I think Grant Hochstein attempted one but fell. Vincent Zhou did but got a double downgrade. Who am I missing?

Nathan Chen had 2 quads.

Hochstein -4 GoE.

Zhou's was <<

Savary -3.77 GoE

Thanks for the info' on quads performed, everyone. It's kind of depressing watching men's FS these days because of the absence of successful quads.

How can you be depressed when Ross and Adam skated wonderfully choreographed and artistic programs. It's called "figure" skating for a reason! It's not called "jump" skating.

If that's what you need to be happy watching skating, I would agree with you.

I don't give a rat's patootie about quads for the sake of quads, and was very satisfied with this comp. God bless Hee Yee (did I get the name right) and his feed

Press conference on B feed now. Adam's microphone wasn't working -Max kindly shoved his microphone across.

Then Max scooted to sit close to Adam so they could share. They waved at Ross, so Ross came to sit close to Max. Cute!

Max paying lots of compliments to Nathan and Vincent.

Darn! I missed what the "solution" was that Max would love to give, and what Ross and/or Adam said about it. There was some giggling.

I think they were saying they wanted the solution as well. I think i like this cozier set up much better.
