Samodurova has such an entertaining personality. She wants to win. She is determined to win. She will not want a bronze here, even though it wouldn’t keep her out of the jgpf.

At JGP Gdansk in the free program Alena also got ! on the flip, and lost GOE at all on that combo. Bad sign. Hope they will work harder on edges with Sergei during the morning practice. Also her amazing axel being not so good. She landed beautiful 2A in the short program and one good 2A axel in the free program, in Gdansk. Second axel there was bad, and now again bad axel but in the short program. So for now only 2/4 nice attempts.

Can't you see the difference in the landings? Her landing was bad and not soft. And judges were absolutely correct, that they gave her lower GOE on the axel in the second half of the program, than Rika's axel in the first half. 4.13 vs. 4.23. You can rewatch her free program from JGP Gdansk; at the end she did two axels. First one - perfect landing, second one - bad landing. The difference is obvious.

I had to watch many times to see the difference. Then I thought it looked a little tiny bit almost nothing sloppy?shaky?(can't find the correct word) on the landing.
Then I watched her previous SP axel, and the difference is clear.

It's not that it's bad exactly, it just could be better. She can do better. She has done better. I hope she will do better in the LP.

I disagree.
it's not bad axel or bad landing. it's not perfect. But it's a pretty damn good still.

It doesn't change anything, this is exactly bad landing in comparison with her perfect ones.
