2017-18 State of Russian Ladies skating

Also, let's congrats Alisa Fedichkina with winning at Cup of Nice! Her SP became better. Didn't see FP, but judging by protocol, it wasn't good. And I just wanted to mention her very small axel and here it is. Two 1A. I guess her axel is the smallest axel I've ever seen. But she did 3lz-3t-2t without UR, - that's good. Is Rukavitsyn killer of ladies' axels? Sakhanovich, Fedichkina, also Leonova's fall on axel during the short program in Slovakia.

sima are looking stronger than anna. that's sad

I really liked Serafima. She has something captivating in her skating:luv17:. Hope she'll gain consistency and some control over her huge jumps with Plushenko as a coach.

Nice skate from Stanislava! Hope to see her at Senior Russian Nationals. I like her SP. But her combo looked not good.

Anna is recovering from an injury, and I prefer wait to see the LP before call Sima stronger, she is so inconsistent.

I think it's always a good idea to wait for the free before making any general judgement calls, so I'd agree with that. Without making any comparisons, I'm glad that Sima was able to skate so good a short program, though, as that cannot help but boost her confidence.

Sima wore her "lucky" 2014 SP dress. She is still not as expressive as she was back then. At times she looked very slow - it looked like she jumped axel with no speed at all. But it is a very good progress. And her rippon jump was fantastic.

Anna P looks and skates more mature. I think her style gets somewhat closer to Caro's. Finesse is lacking so far, 3Lz-3T combo was rough same as Bielmann. May be they have the task to get to the form by key competitions first of which are going to be Nationals (which I am going to attend :) )

Stasya was impressive. She is at times overdoing it with edges but her program is fun. When she delivers she is so good.
