Do you think that they will show Max even though he's not in the last 2 groups?

Not on NBC, surely. The only way he will make that broadcast is to skate lights out and thereby be in medal contention, in which case they might squeeze in a recording of his FS before they go to the last two groups.

He's first in the second group, so we should see him on IceNetwork.

Definitely a bad day for viewership, as NFL conference championships happening at the same time.

Yep. I joked on FB that the silver lining of the Seahawks not getting to NFC game is that I won't have to decide whether to socialize and watch the game or watch figure skating.

I know that, given how they did today with the ladies, NBC will probably show the entire final two groups, but seeing Emmanuel first in the 3rd group makes me scared. If anyone's going to get chacked... :hopelessness:

As a Mainer and New England girl, skating is going to be finished before the second game starts, so no flipping back and forth during commercials for me this year. :D

Ha, I would have not been so fortunate the NFC/Men's Free Skate intersect!

We also have a second television upstairs, and as I recall, the Pats/Broncos game was during skating last year, so I got sent upstairs. The upstairs one is smaller than the downstairs one, but I'm probably going to be relegated to the upstairs one for the Men's LP no matter what. My mother and I have taken control of the downstairs TV for all the skating that's been shown on NBCSN and NBC this weekend, so my father will probably insist on having the good TV for football.

I only have one television at my house. Though my friend has multiple televisions, so I guess I could have sneak away and watch some skating....

Go Steelers! (Sorry not sorry)

Although I am actually an Eagles fan. No joy there:mad: So transfer loyalties to the Western part of the state for postseason.

Not enough to miss skating;)

Once again, I have a 3 hour delay here on the west coast. I will follow along here first so that I will know of any disaster that could happen. There's a good chance that if Max has a bad skate it will ruin may day, or at least a small part of it. I'm expecting a Nathan to win handily but, the #2 and #3 or going to be close. With only 2 spots the #2 spot is the one I'm looking at.

I'm hoping that Ross and Vincent both skate well and let the chips fall where they fall. Grant, Timothy, Jason, and Andrew are all in positions to move up with great skates but, the spread between the top 7 seems to mean that the winners will come from that group. Unfortunately Max is not there.
